The Tuvalu national futsal team is the representative team for Tuvalu in international futsal competitions. It is controlled by the Tuvalu Islands Football Association. They have never won a game. Tuvalu participates in the Oceanian Futsal Championship.

Oceanian Futsal Championship participation

The 2008 Oceanian Futsal Championship was the first time Tuvalu attended the Oceanian Futsal Championship. Team's coach in 2008 was Sami Neemia. They lost 13-1 to New Zealand, 10-2 to New Caledonia, 13-3 to Fiji and 12-0 to Solomon Islands; [1] and against French Polynesia the score was 1–3.

In 2010, Toakai Puapua was the coach. [2] These games also were all lost: Vanuatu 7 - 1 Tuvalu on 8 August 2010; [3] [4] Tahiti Nui 4 - 0 Tuvalu on 9 August 2010; [4] [5] Fiji 5 - 1 Tuvalu on 10 August 2010; [4] New Caledonia 9 - 2 Tuvalu on 12 August 2010; [4] [6] New Zealand 7 - 1 Tuvalu on 13 August 2010; [4] [7] The last game became their largest defeat ever, 2–21 against Solomon Islands on 14 August 2010. In 2011, Taki Vave was the coach of the team. All three games were lost in Group B: Tahiti 6 - 0 Tuvalu on 16 May 2011; [9] New Caledonia 11 - 1 Tuvalu on 17 May 2011; [10] Tuvalu 0 - 16 Solomon Islands on 18 May 2011; [11] They played for 7th/8th place play-off against Kiribati, but lost 2–3. [12]

The Tuvalu national football team is the international football team of Tuvalu. Football in Tuvalu is played at the club and international level. The Tuvalu national team draws players from the Tuvalu A-Division and trains at the Tuvalu Sports Ground at Funafuti. The national team competes in the Pacific Games, and is controlled by the Tuvalu Islands Football Association (TIFA), which is an associate member of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) but not a member of FIFA.

The OFC U-19 Championship is a tournament held once every two years to decide the under-19 champions of Oceania and also decides who will represent Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) at the biennial FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The OFC Olympic Qualifying Tournament is a tournament held once in four years' time to decide the only qualification spot for Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and representatives at the Olympic Games. The OFC Beach Soccer Nations Cup is the main championship for beach soccer in Oceania, contested between the senior men's national teams of the members of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). It is the sport's version of the better known OFC Nations Cup in association football.

The 2008–09 OFC Champions League was the 8th edition of the Oceanian Club Championship, Oceania's premier club football tournament organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), and the 3rd season under the current OFC Champions League name. The competition consisted of a home and away group stage, followed by a knockout round. It took place from 2 November 2008 until 3 May 2009.

The 2009 OFC Futsal Championship was the sixth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the Oceanian region. It took place from 7 July to 11 July 2009, and was hosted by Fiji, which had also hosted the previous edition. The number of participating teams dropped from seven to just four, as French Polynesia, New Zealand and Tuvalu failed to return from the previous year's competition. Previously, the Championship had been held every four years; the 2009 edition marked the beginning of an annual tournament.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Football in Tuvalu</span>

Association football is the most popular sport in Tuvalu. Football in Tuvalu is governed by the Tuvalu National Football Association (TNFA). The TNFA became an associate member association of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) on 15 November 2006 with a further reinstatement on 16 March 2020. The TNFA has been wanting to become a full member of the OFC and a member of FIFA since 1987.

The Tuvalu Islands Football Association is the governing body of football in Tuvalu. The association is responsible for the Tuvalu national football team and the Tuvalu national futsal team. Tuvalu is not a full member and is not affiliated with FIFA. It does not compete in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers because of its non-affiliation.

The 2013 OFC Futsal Championship, also known as the OFC Futsal Championship Invitational 2013, was the ninth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the Oceanian region, organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). It took place from 23 to 27 July 2013, and was hosted by Auckland, New Zealand.

The 2016 OFC Futsal Championship was the 11th edition of the OFC Futsal Championship, the annual international futsal championship organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for the men's national teams of Oceania. The tournament was held in Suva, Fiji between 8–13 February 2016.
