Tweak India is an Indian digital media company focused on women. [1] It was founded by author and entrepreneur Twinkle Khanna, who is also the CEO and brand ambassador. [2] [3] [4] [5]

History

Tweak India was launched on 30 September 2019 [3] with the goal of giving modern Indian women a credible, one-stop platform which talks to them about every aspect of their lives. [6] Tweak is known for its irreverent, tongue-in-cheek approach to wellness, career and lifestyle content, with a strong emphasis on books. [1] Tweak India's founding Editor is Rochelle Pinto. [7] [8]

In 2020, Tweak India launched a book imprint, Tweak Books, in association with Juggernaut. It has since published two children's books, When I Grow Up, I Want To Be Volume 1 and 2, and a cookbook called What's In Your Dabba, which features easy-to-make recipes from celebrities and popular names. In 2021, Tweak India launched their YouTube show, The Icons with Twinkle Khanna, [14] featuring India's most respected celebrities from writer and philanthropist Sudha Murthy [15] and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai [16] to veteran actors Waheeda Rehman, [17] [18] Kajol [19] [20] and Vidya Balan. In its second season, The Icons has expanded its scope to include names from a wide variety of fields, including Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, serial entrepreneur Masaba Gupta, [21] [22] journalist Faye D'Souza and more. [23] [24]

In June 2023, Tweak India announced the launch of the Tweak Book Club, in association with Crossword Bookstores, India's largest book retailer. [25]

<i>Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega</i> 2001 Hindi film directed by Eeshwar Nivas

Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language crime comedy film directed by Eeshwar Nivas and produced by Ram Gopal Varma and Nitin Manmohan. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Fardeen Khan, Sonali Bendre, Twinkle Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani and Johnny Lever in lead roles. The film is an official remake of the 1993 Telugu film Money. This film marked Twinkle Khanna's final acting performance, prior to her marriage and subsequent retirement from the industry. It was released on 29 June 2001 and unlike the original version, the Hindi remake received mixed reviews and eventually became a box-office bomb. The rights to this film are owned by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and the film is said to be loosely based on the American black comedy Fargo.

She is the daughter of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and former India cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan, Crown Prince of Bhopal, and the younger sister of actor Saif Ali Khan. She started her acting career with the romantic comedy film Dil Maange More (2004), and is best known for her role in the drama film Rang De Basanti (2006). In 2017, she authored a book The Perils of Being Moderately Famous that won the Crossword Book Award in 2018.

Waheeda Rehman is an Indian actress. Regarded as one of Hindi cinema's most accomplished actresses, she has worked in more than 90 feature films, in a career spanning over five decades. Her accolades include a National Film Award and three Filmfare Awards. She was honoured with India's civilian awards; the Padma Shri in 1972 and the Padma Bhushan in 2011. In 2021 she was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in the field of cinema, but was awarded in 2023.

<i>Khamoshi</i> (1970 film) 1969 Indian film

Khamoshi is a 1969 black-and-white Hindi drama film directed by Asit Sen, starring Waheeda Rehman and Rajesh Khanna. It is especially remembered for its memorable music by Hemant Kumar and lyrics by Gulzar in songs such as "Tum Pukaar Lo... Tumhara Intezaar Hai" sung by Hemant Kumar, "Woh Shaam Kuch Ajeeb Thi" by Kishore Kumar and "Humne Dekhi Hai In Aankhon Ki Mehekti Khushboo" sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Though what really made this film stand out was the B&W cinematography by Kamal Bose, who won Best Cinematographer at the 18th Filmfare Awards for his work in the film and received high critical acclaim for Rehman and Khanna's performances. Rehman's performance earned her a Best Actress nomination at the same ceremony. The film was a moderate success at the box-office.

Chandni (transl. Moonlight) is a 1989 Indian Hindi-language romantic musical directed and co-produced by Yash Chopra from a story written by Kamna Chandra with a screenplay by Umesh Kalbagh, Arun Kaul, and Sagar Sarhadi. The film stars Sridevi in the title role of Chandni Mathur, a young effervescent woman torn between two suitors played by Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor. <i>Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam</i> 1962 film by Abrar Alvi

Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam is a 1962 Indian Hindi-language drama film that was directed by Abrar Alvi and produced by Guru Dutt, who also co-stars in it alongside Meena Kumari, Rehman, and Waheeda Rehman. The film, which is based on Bimal Mitra's Bengali-language novel Saheb Bibi Golam (1953) which was the second adaptation of the novel after the 1956 Bengali film with the same title Saheb Bibi Golam starring Sumitra Devi, Uttam Kumar and Chhabi Biswas. Having seen the novel and its staged version, Dutt wanted to adapt Saheb Bibi Golam into a film, was set in the 19th century during the British Raj and focuses on Bhoothnath (Dutt), who meets Chhoti Bahu (Kumari), the lonely wife of a zamindar (Rehman). The film follows Chhoti Bahu's effort to keep her husband—who likes drinking and watching dancing girls perform—at their home by drinking with him. She becomes addicted to alcohol, leading both of them into bankruptcy.

The biography details Rehman's birth in 1938 in Chingleput, her 54-year-long film career, and her 1974 marriage to the actor Kamaljeet, with whom she has two children. It was published on 19 February 2014 by Penguin Books. The book generated positive reviews from book critics; most of the praise was directed towards the book's question-and-answer format, and Kabir's and Rehman's style in questioning and answering, respectively.
