Tyneview Park is a large government office site in Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Tyneview Park is home to many departments of The Pension Service, a sector of the Department for Work and Pensions and HMRC.
Built in the early 1990s and opened in 1995, [1] the site is set back from Whitley Road, a major route through Benton with an access road leading south from Whitley Road into the main site. Initially, the site consisted of four main office blocks (lettered A - D) with a crèche facility and a restaurant block (with a small gymnasium). Each of the four office blocks is identical in structure. With three floors in total, each floor has office space to the north and south of the building, leaving a three-storey open space, known as an 'atrium'. These atria spanned the whole building, with glass windows on the roof and semi-darkened glass to the sides of the office spaces on each floor. Inside the atria, seating areas can be found along with vending machines. Stairs and lifts to the floors could be found to the east and west of each building. In 2002, work started on a new large building to the south of the site, which would house the new 'London Pension Centre', which would be known as 'J Block'. This new building was slightly different from its A - D predecessors, although having an atrium itself, it differed from the other blocks by having open office space looking onto the atria rather than having glass walls. The building opened in 2004. In 1996, Tyneview Park was awarded the 'Quality in Urban Design' award by the Royal Town Planning Institute. [1]
The site borders on the Coach Lane Campus of Northumbria University to the west, a DSA test centre to the north west, the 'Blue Flames' clubhouse to the north east and the Newcastle United F.C. training ground to the south. The East Coast Main Line can be found to the east of the site also, with the Newcastle to Edinburgh stretch of the line.
Tyneview Park is made up of departments solely from The Pension Service with centrally based 'centres' located here, supporting the network of regional Pension Centres across the country. The main centres at Tyneview Park are:
Tyneview Park was built as a satellite site of a larger government office site, approximately a mile west, in Longbenton called Benton Park View. Benton Park View does house a few The Pension Service departments; however this site is predominantly a HM Revenue and Customs site.
Birmingham Central Library was the main public library in Birmingham, England, from 1974 until 2013, replacing a library opened in 1865 and rebuilt in 1882. For a time the largest non-national library in Europe, it closed on 29 June 2013 and was replaced by the Library of Birmingham. The building was demolished in 2016, after 41 years, as part of the redevelopment of Paradise Circus by Argent Group. Designed by architect John Madin in the brutalist style, the library was part of an ambitious development project by Birmingham City Council to create a civic centre on its new Inner Ring Road system; however, for economic reasons significant parts of the master plan were not completed, and quality was reduced on materials as an economic measure. Two previous libraries occupied the adjacent site before Madin's library opened in 1974. The previous library, designed by John Henry Chamberlain, opened in 1883 and featured a tall clerestoried reading room. It was demolished in 1974 after the new library had opened.
North Tyneside is a metropolitan borough in the metropolitan county of Tyne and Wear, England. It forms part of the greater Tyneside conurbation. North Tyneside Council is headquartered at Cobalt Park, Wallsend.

In architecture, an atrium is a large open-air or skylight-covered space surrounded by a building. Atria were a common feature in Ancient Roman dwellings, providing light and ventilation to the interior. Modern atria, as developed in the late 19th and 20th centuries, are often several stories high, with a glazed roof or large windows, and often located immediately beyond a building's main entrance doors.

The Four Lane Ends Interchange is a multimodal transport hub in the borough of North Tyneside in the English metropolitan county of Tyne and Wear. It includes a station on the Tyne and Wear Metro, a bus station and a multi-storey car park. The metro station opened on 11 August 1980, but it is situated on the site of a previous station that opened in 1864, closed in 1871, and was variously called Benton, Long Benton and Longbenton.
Foyleside Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in Derry, Northern Ireland. Construction started in the early 1990s and the centre opened on 25 September 1995. As of April 2023 the centre is 98% let across 55 units. The centre is spread over a 6.99 acre site in the city centre of Derry. Foyleside extends to a size of 34,400 square meters. Making it the second largest shopping centre in Northern Ireland behind Belfast's Victoria Square. The centre is anchored by Marks & Spencer, Frasers and Dunnes Stores.
One Campus Martius is a building located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It began construction in 2000 and was finished in 2003. It has seventeen floors in total, fifteen above-ground, and two below-ground, and has 1,088,000 square feet (100,000 m2) of office space. The high-rise was built as an office building with a restaurant, retail units, space for Compuware and a fitness center, as well as an atrium. The building now has Rocket Mortgage, Microsoft, Meridian Health, Plante Moran and Compuware as its major tenants.

Benton Park View, located in Benton, a suburb of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, is a multi-agency site of the UK Government. The complex is one of the largest secure civilian government complexes in Europe. The site is owned by Newcastle Estates Partnership and the principal tenants are His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The site consists of a large group of office blocks within a secure perimeter.
The Ford Foundation Center for Social Justice is a 12-story office building in East Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Designed by architect Kevin Roche and engineering partner John Dinkeloo in the late modernist style, the building was one of the first that Roche-Dinkeloo produced after they became heads of Eero Saarinen's firm.
590 Madison Avenue, also known as the IBM Building, is a skyscraper at 57th Street and Madison Avenue in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes and Associates the 41-story, 603-foot (184 m)-tall tower was developed for the technology company IBM and built from 1978 to 1983.

Newcastle City Library is a library in the city centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Completed on 3 March 2009, the building opened on 7 June 2009, and is the city's main public library. The main feature of the building is a long 'glass box' forming the eastern side of the steel frame structure.
41 Cooper Square is a nine-story, 175,000-square-foot (16,300 m2) academic center at Cooper Square, Manhattan, New York City, that houses Cooper Union's Albert Nerken School of Engineering with additional spaces for the humanities, art, and architecture departments. Designed by architect Thom Mayne of Morphosis, there is also an exhibition gallery and auditorium for public programs and retail space on the ground level. The building, originally known as the New Academic Building, stands on the site where Cooper Union's School of Art's former home, the Abram Hewitt Building, was located; the site of the former School of Engineering building was leased to a developer following the move to the new building. Construction of the building began in 2006 and was completed in September 2009. The project has been controversial in the East Village neighborhood where 41 Cooper Square is located.
The Core, which consists of TD Square, the Holt Renfrew building, the Simons building, the Stephen Avenue Place shops, Scotia Centre, and the former Calgary Eaton Centre, is the dominant shopping complex located in the downtown core of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It spans three city blocks and contains approximately 160 retailers on four levels. The property also contains six major office towers (TD Canada Trust Tower, Home Oil Tower, Dome Tower, and the historic Lancaster Building. It is the hub of downtown Calgary's +15 skywalk system, and as such is the busiest shopping centre in the city by pedestrian count, with around 250,000 visitors passing through each week. The centre's architectural focal point is a vast suspended glass skylight which spans the length of the complex. As of October 29, 2010, the Core offers free evening and weekend parking at its underground lots.

McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) is an innovation and research facility located approximately two kilometres east of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. McMaster Innovation Park focuses on supporting startups, business, research through providing property management services as well as business aid. Entrepreneurs, firms, researchers, industry partners, business mentors and support facilities are the main customers of the firm. MIP currently houses five buildings: the Atrium@MIP, CanmetMATERIALS, McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC), Biomedical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (BEAM) project centre and envisions 10 buildings on site within 10 years with 1,500–1,800 people working full-time.
Park Avenue Plaza is an office building at 55 East 52nd Street in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. The 575-foot (175 m) tall, 44-story building was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) for development company Fisher Brothers and was completed in 1981. Despite its name, the building is not actually on Park Avenue, although it abuts the Racquet and Tennis Club building along the avenue. Rather, the building is in the middle of a city block, with entrances on 52nd and 53rd Streets.
