History

NASCAR decided to add a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Richmond International Raceway for the 2011 season. The final race in 2015 was shortened due to rain. [1]

Richmond Raceway (RR) is a 0.75 miles (1.21 km), D-shaped, asphalt race track located just outside Richmond, Virginia in unincorporated Henrico County. The Worldwide Express 250 for Carrier Appreciation is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Richmond Raceway. The race was initially held from 1995 to 2005 before being removed from the schedule in 2006. The race returned to the Truck Series schedule 14 years later in 2020. In the race's first stint on the Truck Series schedule, it was 200 laps. When it returned in 2020, the distance was 250 laps.

The Toyota Owners 400 is a 400 lap NASCAR Cup Series stock car race held at the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. From 2007 to 2011, former race title sponsor Crown Royal named the race after the winner of an essay contest during Daytona Speedweeks. The winner of the first essay contest was Jim Stewart from Houma, Louisiana, with subsequent contests won by Dan Lowry of Columbiana, Ohio, and Russ Friedman of Huntington, New York, with the 2010 race being named for Army veteran Heath Calhoun of Clarksville, Tennessee. Since 2010 only military service members have been eligible to win the contest. Crown Royal moved the "Your Name Here" sponsorship to the Brickyard 400 beginning in 2012.

2014 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour

The 2014 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is the 30th season of the Whelen Modified Tour (WMT). It began with the UNOH Battle at the Beach at Daytona International Speedway on February 18, which did not count towards the championship. The first race for the championship was the Icebreaker 150 presented by Town Fair Tire at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on April 6. It ended with the Sunoco World Series 150 at Thompson again on October 19. Ryan Preece entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion. 2012 champion Doug Coby won the 2014 championship after 13 races, 22 points ahead of Preece. Preece won the last race, which meant he went from sixth to second in the championship.

Ryan Gifford is an American professional stock car racing driver. A former development driver for Richard Childress Racing and a former member of NASCAR NEXT. He last drove the No. 2 Toyota Camry for Rev Racing in the regional K&N Pro Series East as a member of NASCAR's Drive for Diversity, and has made starts in the national Xfinity Series for RCR and Biagi-DenBeste Racing. Gifford is the first African-American driver to win a pole in the K&N East series, and works in the shop of Team Dillon Racing.

Rev Racing

Rev Racing, short for Revolution Racing, is an auto racing team competing at the regional level of NASCAR. Owned by former Dale Earnhardt, Inc. president Max Siegel, the team primarily fields participants in the Drive for Diversity, an initiative to bring more minority and female drivers into the sport. In all three ARCA Menards Series, Rev Racing currently fields two Chevrolet SS teams: The No. 2 for Nick Sanchez and the No. 6 for Rajah Caruth. The team also fields late model and Legends car entries for various drivers, and has fielded entries for future NASCAR national series winners Kyle Larson, Bubba Wallace, and Daniel Suárez in the past.

2013 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West NASCAR season

The 2013 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West was the 60th season of the K&N Pro Series West. It began with the Talking Stick Resort 60 at Phoenix International Raceway on March 2, and ended with the Casino Arizona 100, also at Phoenix, on November 8. Dylan Kwasniewski entered as the defending series champion, but didn't defend his title as he competed for the 2013 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship. Derek Thorn won his first championship after the last race, 6 points ahead of Cameron Hayley.
