USNS Rincon (T-AOG-77) was a T1 tanker type, Rincon-class gasoline tanker, in operation for the United States Navy from 1950 through the 1970s. She was originally constructed as MS Tarland for the United States Maritime Commission at the end of World War II, and intended for delivery to the United Kingdom under the terms of Lend-Lease. Completed in October 1945, she was delivered to the Army Transport Service of the United States Army under the name USAT Rincon. Transferred to the U.S. Navy in 1950, she transported gasoline during the Korean War, earning two battle stars in the process. After service extending into the 1970s, the ship was transferred to South Korea in February 1982. As ROKS So Yang (AOG-55), she served the South Korean Navy until the late 1990s, when she was returned to the United States. She was struck from the U.S. Naval Vessel Register on 23 October 1998.
Rincon (T-AOG-77)—originally slated for use by the British under the terms of the Lend-Lease Program— was laid down under a United States Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 2640) as Tarland on 24 February 1945 by the Todd-Houston Shipbuilding Corporation of Houston, Texas. She was sponsored by Mrs. J. L. Baker and launched as Rincon on 5 June 1945. She was completed on 5 October 1945 and delivered to the Maritime Commission.
After a brief period of operation, she was entered into the National Defense Reserve Fleet in April 1946, but was transferred to the Army Transport Service of the United States Army. As USAT Rincon, she served the U.S. Army until the Army Transport Service was absorbed into the United States Navy's Military Sea Transportation Service. She was handed over to the U.S. Navy at Yokohama on 1 July 1950 and designated T-AOG-77, a United States Naval Ship, and assigned to MSTS, Far East
Rincon immediately commenced shuttling fuel to the Japanese ports whence troops and supplies were being sent to the fighting front in Korea. In September, the ship was assigned Sasebo–Pusan shuttle runs as facilities at the latter port were expanded to meet the needs of U.N. forces being lifted into the embattled peninsula. Throughout the three years of conflict, Rincon interrupted that duty only once for runs to Saigon and Haiphong in March 1951. Rincon earned two battle stars for her service during the Korean War.
After the s:Korean Armistice Agreement was signed in July 1953, she continued her Japanese–Korean shuttle service until February 1959. Then transferred to MSTS, Pacific, she carried fuel from Pearl Harbor to Midway and bases in the Marshalls until reassigned to MSTS, Far East, in May 1961. She then returned to Sasebo, whence into 1974 she carried gasoline and other fuels to American and Allied forces in the western Pacific, particularly those in Vietnam.
Leased to South Korea on 21 February 1982, the gasoline tanker served as ROKS So Yang (AOG-55) until returned to U.S. custody in the late 1990s as the Cheonji class came into service. The tanker was struck from the Naval Vessel Register on 23 October 1998.
USS Susquehanna (AOG-5) was a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker in service with United States Navy from 1943 to 1946 and with the Military Sea Transportation Service from 1950 to 1959. She was scrapped in 1973.
USS Patapsco (AOG–1) was a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker of the United States Navy, and the lead ship of her class. She saw service during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Patapsco was the sixth ship of the US Navy to be named for the Patapsco River in Maryland. After decommissioning she was converted to a fishing vessel under the name Arctic Storm, and is currently in operation.
USS Namakagon (AOG-53) was a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker built for the United States Navy during World War II. In some sources, the ship's name is also spelled Namakogon. After her decommissioning from the U.S. Navy in 1957, the former Namakagon served as Antarctic supply vessel HMNZS Endeavour (A184) for the Royal New Zealand Navy (1962–1971), and as ROCS Lung Chuan for the Republic of China Navy. Lung Chuan ended active service when she was decommissioned from the Republic of China Navy in 2005.

USS Wacissa (AOG-59) was a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker delivered to the United States Navy in 1946. She was directly put in reserve and reactivated for service with the Military Sea Transportation Service between 1952 and 1956. In 1957, she was transferred to the United States Air Force. Shortly thereafter she was transferred to Canada again. She was finally scrapped in 1964.

USS Maquoketa (AOG-51) was a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker in service with the United States Navy from 1945 to 1947 and with the Military Sea Transportation Service from 1952 to 1957. She was sold for scrap in 1975.
USNS Sgt. George D. Keathley, was a World War II United States cargo vessel that was used for troop transport and later converted to a survey vessel. She was laid down and launched as MS Alexander R. Nininger, Jr., then renamed MS Acorn Knot. She was put into US Army service as USAT Acorn Knot, then renamed USAT Sgt. George D. Keathley. She was transferred to the US Navy and became USNS Sgt. George D. Keathley (T-APC-117), but was later re-designated T-AGS-35. She was leased to the Republic of China, where she served as Chu Hwa (AGS-564). Both Nininger and Keathley were posthumous Medal of Honor recipients.
USNS Sgt. Sylvester Antolak (AP-192/T-AP-192) was a Boulder Victory-class cargo ship that served as a United States Army Transport, and in the United States Navy's Military Sea Transportation Service, in the post-World War II period.
USNS Sgt. Andrew Miller (T-AK-242) was built as Victory ship SS Radcliffe Victory, a Boulder Victory-class cargo ship, built at the end of World War II. She served during the war and its demilitarization as a commercial cargo vessel operated by American West African Lines under charter with the Maritime Commission and War Shipping Administration. From 1946 to 1950, she served the US Army as a transport named USAT Sgt. Andrew Miller. In 1950, she was acquired by the US Navy and assigned to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS). In 1981 she ended her career and was placed into reserve.
USNS Tonti (T-AOG-76) was a T1 tanker type, Tonti-class gasoline tanker, in operation for the United States Navy from 1948 through 1960. She was originally constructed as MS Tavern for the United States Maritime Commission at the end of World War II, and intended for delivery to the United Kingdom under the terms of Lend-Lease. Although her construction was suspended in August 1945 after the war's end, the ship, renamed Tonti after an early explorer of North America, was completed in December 1945. From June 1948 to July 1960, the tanker was operated by a private company on behalf of the U.S. Navy. After being laid up in 1960, the ship was transferred to Colombia in January 1965. As ARC Mamonal (BT-62), she served the Colombian Navy until 1975, when she was scrapped.
USS Natchaug (AOG-54) was a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker in service with the United States Navy from 1945 to 1959. She was directly transferred to the Greek Navy as Arethousa (A-377). The ship served a total of about 47 years in military service. Decommissioned in 2003, she was sunk as a target in 2005.
USS Peconic (AOG-68), was a type T1 Klickitat-class gasoline tanker built for the US Navy during World War II. She was named after the Peconic River, in New York.
