Tasmania Football Club, commonly known as the Tasmanian Devils, was an Australian rules football club which competed in the Victorian Football League in Australia. Formed in 2001, it was the youngest and the only non-Victorian club in the league. The club was based in the state of Tasmania at Bellerive Oval and was run by AFL Tasmania. At the end of the 2008 season, AFL Tasmania decided to withdraw the Devils from the VFL competition in favour of restarting a new Tasmanian league encompassing the entire state.
Football Tasmania (FT) is the governing body for soccer in the Australian state of Tasmania. The federation oversees competitions across Tasmania, Tasmanian representative teams, and development of the sport in the state. The federation was known as the Tasmanian Soccer Association until 1996, when it was renamed Soccer Tasmania. In line with national changes in March 2006, it became Football Federation Tasmania. In February 2019, the organisation became simply Football Tasmania.

The club was founded in 1956 and currently participating in the Tasmanian NPL Tasmania since 2013, run by the governing body Football Federation Tasmania. The club has over 100 registered players across senior, women and social leagues.
Riverside Olympic Football Club, is a soccer club which represents Launceston in the National Premier Leagues Tasmania. The club also fields 37 teams across all junior divisions. Riverside Olympic play their home games at Windsor Park, in Launceston, Tasmania.
The Claremont Football Club, nicknamed The Magpies, is an Australian rules football club currently playing in the Southern Football League in Tasmania, Australia.
The club has worn a traditional Collingwood-style playing uniform since 1949 and is based in Hobart's northern suburbs, 14 km from the Hobart CBD.
Founded in 1924, Claremont participated in a number of local leagues but is best known for being one Tasmania's most successful amateur football clubs since joining the TAFL Southern Division in 1949, having won a total of seventeen (17) Southern Amateur premiership titles along with ten (10) Condor Shield state amateur premiership titles between 1965–1995.
Following the collapse of the Tasmanian Amateur Football League at the completion of the 1995 season, Claremont became one of the foundation members of the new STFL in 1996 and made the finals in its first season.
In 1997, Claremont made it through to its first STFL Grand Final but suffered a 25-point loss to Kingston, however the Magpies would dwindle away into an unaccustomed wilderness for almost two decades before flying high once again to make four consecutive grand finals between 2013–2016, the latter two years (2015-2016) bringing premiership joy to Claremont for the first time in twenty years and was even more noteworthy by virtue of the fact that Claremont was able to win back-to-back hat-tricks of premiership titles with the club's Colts, Reserves and Seniors all taking out SFL premierships in 2015 and 2016.
In 2017 the Claremont Football Club entered a team in the inaugural season of the Southern Football League Women's Competition and has done in each season since. Claremont Football Club is based at Abbotsfield Park where it has hosted its home matches since 1971, previous to that it played at the St Anne's Cricket Club ground from 1949-1970 and the Claremont Soccer Ground from 1924–1948.
The Ulverstone Football Club, nicknamed the Robins, is an Australian rules football club based in Ulverstone, Tasmania, Australia. The club fields three teams in the North West Football League and also fields two junior teams in the AFL Tasmania North West Competition.
The Tasmanian AFL bid refers to several Australian rules football teams that have proposed to eventually join the Australian Football League (AFL) and the AFL Women's (AFLW). Proposals have been made on several occasions since the expansion of the Victorian Football League into an Australia-wide competition started in 1987.
Geoffrey Bernard "Paddy" Martin was an Australian rules footballer who played in Tasmania with Launceston, Sandy Bay, Ulverstone and Burnie. He was a half back flanker in Launceston's official 'Team of the Century' and in 2005 was inducted into Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame as a coaching legend. Martin also represented Tasmania once in first-class cricket.
The North West Football Union (NWFU) was an Australian rules football competition which ran from 1910 to 1986. In its time it was one of the three main leagues in Tasmania, with the Tasmanian Football League and Northern Tasmanian Football Association representing the rest of the state. Burnie, Latrobe and Ulverstone were the most successful clubs with 12 premierships each.
The Tasmanian State Premiership was an Australian rules football tournament which was contested at the conclusion of the season, initially between the reigning Tasmanian Football League (TFL/TANFL) and Northern Tasmanian Football Association (NTFA) premiers, and then from 1950 also by the NWFU premiers, to determine an overall premier team for the state of Tasmania. The state premiership was contested 57 times between 1909 and 1978.
The Latrobe Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in the town of Latrobe in northern Tasmania. The club competed in the North West Football Union throughout the competition's entire existence from 1910 until 1986, and has competed in its successor, the North West Football League, since 1987. Latrobe was one of the most successful NWFU clubs, and its tally of 12 premierships is a joint record shared with Burnie and Ulverstone. It was the only club to win four successive NWFU premierships, achieved from 1969 to 1972. In 2013, it became the first Tasmanian club outside of the State League to be inducted into the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame.
The Longford Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Longford, Tasmania which currently compete in the modern Northern Tasmanian Football Association. From 1926 until 1986 they had played in the original Northern Tasmanian Football Association. Formed in 1878, Longford are nicknamed the Tigers and wear black and gold as their club colours.
