Umberto Panerai (born March 13, 1953) is a retired water polo player from Italy, who competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1976. He was born in Florence.
Panerai was a member of the Men's National Team, that claimed the silver medal at the Montréal Olympics. During his career he was affiliated with Rari Nantes Florentia in Firenze.
He was appointed to the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
He was a trainer for Luna Rossa Challenge for the 2000 America’s Cup and 2013 Louis Vuitton Cup. [1]
Cesare Rubini was an Italian professional basketball player and coach, and a water polo player. He was considered to be one of the greatest European basketball coaches of all time, Rubini was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1994, making him the first, and to this day, just one of three Italian basketball figures to receive such an honour, alongside Dino Meneghin and Sandro Gamba. He was also inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2000.

In 2019 he became CEO and Wing trimmer for the Great Britain team racing in the newly formed SailGP, racing the F50 hydro foiling catamarans in a global racing circuit. In 2021 he joined the Japanese SailGP team as a Wing Trimmer. winning multiple events during the 2021/2022 SailGP season and finishing runners up overall.
Ratko Rudić is a retired Croatian water polo coach and a former water polo player. As of 2015, he has won 38 medals as a coach at major events, making him the most successful water polo coach in history, and second most successful team sport coach of all time. He won four gold medals, of which three consecutive, with three different national teams at the Summer Olympics, as well as three gold medals with three national teams at the World Championships, among many others. In 2007 was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, described as "one of the best, if not the best, water polo coach to walk the deck of the pool".

The three contenders were Artemis Racing (Sweden), Emirates Team New Zealand, and Luna Rossa Challenge (Italy). After a preliminary round robin to determine seeding, Artemis Racing was eliminated in the semi-final round by Luna Rossa Challenge by four races to none. In the final, Emirates Team New Zealand beat Luna Rossa Challenge by seven races to one, and went on to challenge Oracle Team USA for the 2013 America's Cup.

His father Branko Jovanović used to play for POŠK and Yugoslavia men's national water polo team. His brother Goran was also a water polo player. He is 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) tall.
