Kimetrius Christopher Foose, known by his stage name Lil Skies, is an American rapper and singer from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. He signed with Atlantic Records in 2017 to release the singles "I", "Nowadays", and "Red Roses." The songs peaked at numbers 39, 55, and 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. His eighth mixtape and major label debut, Life of a Dark Rose (2018), peaked at number ten on the Billboard 200 and received platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His debut studio album, Shelby (2019), and its follow-up Unbothered (2021), peaked at numbers five and 50 on the chart, respectively.

Nicholas Warren Mira is an American record producer. He is co-founder and flagship member of the hip hop production collective and record label Internet Money Records, which he formed with fellow producer Taz Taylor in 2015. He worked with late American rapper Juice Wrld to produce his songs "Lucid Dreams", "Robbery", "Bandit", and "Lean wit Me". He also worked with rapper Lil Tecca to produce his 2019 hit song "Ransom," and co-produced Internet Money's 2020 single "Lemonade." Mira released his first collaborative album with the label, B4 the Storm (2020), to positive reception.

On the song, the rappers combine to form a "3 headed G.O.A.T.". The track received positive reviews from critics and was Durk's highest-charting song until the release of Drake's "Laugh Now Cry Later".

The Voice of the Heroes is a collaborative studio album by American rappers Lil Baby and Lil Durk. It was released through Quality Control Music, 4 Pockets Full, Only the Family, and Alamo Records on June 4, 2021. Its title comes from Durk's childhood nickname of "the Voice" and Baby's nickname of "the Hero" that Lil Durk had given him. The album contains guest appearances from Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Young Thug, and Rod Wave with notable production from London on da Track, Wheezy, Turbo, and Murda Beatz. It was preceded by the single, "Voice of the Heroes", the title and opening track, which was released on May 31, 2021.

"My Baby" is a song by American rapper and singer Lil Skies featuring fellow American singer Zhavia Ward. Written alongside producer CashMoneyAP, it was released on April 29, 2021, as the lead single from the deluxe version of Skies' second studio album Unbothered (2021).
