Under17 (stylized in all caps) was a Japanese musical duo formed in 2001 by Haruko Momoi and Masaya Koike. [1] The group was known for producing music known colloquially as " moe songs" [2] , providing theme and insert songs to series such as Tenbatsu! Angel Rabbie , Popotan , and DearS .
Some of the anime series where Under17 songs have been featured are Mouse, Popotan, Tenbatsu! Angel Rabbie, Hourglass of Summer, DearS, and Kujibiki Unbalance. [2] This group has released several adult videogames' opening songs. On 27 September 2004, it was announced that Under17 would break up after their national tour, with Momoi and Koike going separate ways due to creative differences. Their final concert was held on 20 November 2004 at the Yokohama Blitz. [3] Momoi officially embarked on a solo career and Koike formed the band MOSAIC.WAV.
The band reunited for one song on 31 August 2008 during the Animelo Summer Live, performing "Tenbatsu! Angel Rabbie" with the members of MOSAIC.WAV. [4]
Momoi and Koike briefly reunited again in March 2020 to perform at the event Susume Moe Denpa Shōnen!! Daifukkatsusai 2020!!: Sugisarishi Moe o Motomete. [5] [6]

Popotan is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Petit Ferret with character designs by Akio Watanabe under the alias Poyoyon Rock. It was originally released as a PC game for CD-ROM on December 13, 2002, and subsequently re-released on DVD-ROM and for the PlayStation 2 with certain scenes removed. The title Popotan is a nonsensical word meant to reflect the prominence of dandelions, spelled tanpopo (たんぽぽ) in Japanese; Petite Ferret also produced a fan disc shortly before the DVD-ROM re-release. Popotan has been adapted to other media, including a novel series by Sassami Yachiruda; a manga series by Yūjiro Izumi; a twelve episode anime television series directed by Shinichiro Kimura, animated by Shaft, and licensed in North America by Geneon USA and later, Sentai Filmworks; a radio drama (Poporaji); and several art and reference books.
Haruko Momoi is a Japanese singer, songwriter and voice actress. She also produces an all-female pop group called Afilia Saga. She was born in Tokyo, Japan and is affectionately referred to as Halko by her fans, a nickname she gave herself which is inspired by HAL 9000, the computer in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Masami Okui is a Japanese singer and songwriter from Itami, Hyōgo. She began her professional musical career at age 21 as a concert backup singer. From almost the very beginning of her career, Masami has sung themes for anime television and movies. She is especially well known for her songs from Revolutionary Girl Utena, Tales of Eternia The Animation, Slayers, Sorcerer Hunters, Di Gi Charat, Magic User's Club, Jungle de Ikou!, Akihabara Dennou Gumi, Ray the Animation, He Is My Master and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. She has performed material for more than 50 singles and 20 albums to date . Okui hosts @Tunes, an anime music news program, on the Japanese anime television network Animax.
Mosaic.wav is a Japanese moe-pop band from Akihabara, widely known for doing theme songs to eroge, they eventually began to produce their own original work in 2004. In an interview with JaME, Kayamori stated their name was chosen in connection to church windows, and that they believe that the name really represents colour and different passions. The band is named after the digital sound file format WAV. Their songs have also been used as opening songs for Sumomomo Momomo and Kyouran Kazoku Nikki.

Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger is a Japanese tokusatsu comedy series based on the Super Sentai Series. It is not part of the official line up in Toei Company's Super Sentai franchise, but is instead a parody geared towards adults who were fans of the franchise as children. The show aired on BS Asahi starting April 6, 2012, and Tokyo MX starting April 9, 2012.
"Give a Reason" is a song by Japanese voice actress and recording artist Megumi Hayashibara. It was used as opening theme for the anime series Slayers Next, and on April 24, 1996 it was released as a single along with Masami Okui's song "Jama wa Sasenai" (邪魔はさせない), which was used as ending theme for the same series. Media Factory, formerly Media Factory, Inc. is a Japanese publisher and brand company of Kadokawa Future Publishing. It was founded on December 1, 1986, and its headquarters are situated in Shibuya, Tokyo. It is a subsidiary of Recruit Co., Ltd. Kazuya Yoshii is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock band The Yellow Monkey. When they went on hiatus in 2001, before officially disbanding three years later, Yoshii started a solo career in 2003 under the name Yoshii Lovinson. He switched back to his old name in 2006 and The Yellow Monkey reformed in 2016.

It reached number 9 on Oricon and number 5 on Japan Hot 100. It was used as the opening theme song for the second season of anime series The Heroic Legend of Arslan. The song was released before her indefinite hiatus on November 2016, although she would resume her activities in 2018.
