The Unified Metropolitan Transportation Authority [1] or UMTA is the urban transportation planning agency of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was constituted in 2008 by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh legislature (G O Ms. No. 624).

In 2019, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) department, Telangana decided to revive the Hyderabad Urban Metropolitan Transport Authority (HUMTA). [2] HUMTA is a wing of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). [3] HUMTA acts as an umbrella for various agencies that are connected to traffic and transportation issues to ensure last-mile connectivity in Hyderabad. [4]

The Outer Ring Road, officially as, Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road and abbreviated as, O.R.R., is a 158-kilometre (98 mi), eight-lane ring road expressway encircling Hyderabad, capital of the Indian state of Telangana. The expressway is designed for speeds up to 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph), which later increased to 120 kilometres per hour (75 mph). A large part, 124 kilometres (77 mi) of the 158 kilometres (98 mi) was opened by December 2012.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is the urban planning agency of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. The HMDA administers the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region, spread over an area of 7,257 km2 (2,802 sq mi) and covers the districts of Hyderabad district, Medchal district, part of Rangareddy district, Bhuvanagiri district, Sangareddy district, Medak district and Siddipet district. HMDA is the largest urban development authority in India. HMDA was formed by the merging of the following erstwhile entities: Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA), Hyderabad Airport Development Authority (HADA), Cyberabad Development Authority (CDA) and Buddha Poornima Project Authority (BPPA). HMDA was set up for the purposes of planning, co-ordination, supervising, promoting and securing the planned development of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region. It coordinates the development activities of the municipal corporations, municipalities and other local authorities, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, the Telangana State Transmission Corporation, the Telangana State Infrastructure Corporation.

The Heritage Conservation Committee under HUDA was formed by state government in 1981 to retain architectural, historical and social value of buildings. Hyderabad Urban Development Authority has listed almost 160 buildings in Hyderabad in Telangana state as heritage structures. Almost 70% of heritage buildings are in private hands. Heritage structures include buildings, monuments, rock structures etc.

Kokapet is an emerging commercial and residential hub in Ranga Reddy District in Telangana, India. This place falls under Kokapet SEZ (Neopolis) and is as one of the most expensive commercial and residential locations in the western part of Hyderabad. It falls under Gandipet Mandal. It is three kilometres away from Gandipet and close to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport; it is almost an extension of Financial District and in the vicinity of the IT hub. The commercial project being developed on 80-acre plot, will comprise a combination of SEZ and non-SEZ development along with MICE tourism, star hotel, retail and entertainment facilities. The layout development is proposed with seamless connectivity to the Outer Ring Road by construction of Trumpet Interchange at Kokapet layout and additional entry and exit to the ORR at Narsingi. OKOS Gokarting is also located in Kokapet. A Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) is being planned in Kokapet area. The earlier proposed elevated bus rapid transit system (EBRTS) project, also known as Metro Neo from Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) to Narsingi covering the IT corridor like Kokapet has been put in cold storage by Government of Telangana.

Medipally is a town located in Medchal Malkajgiri district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is the mandal headquarters of Medipally mandal in Keesara revenue division. It also a part of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.

The Regional Ring Road is a proposed ring road around the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is a 4 lane, 340-kilometre-long (210 mi) road, planned on strengthening the existing road network and by adding new stretches wherever linkages were found missing. National Highways Authority of India has included Regional Ring road in the pan-India Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-2. It helps connect the districts around city of Hyderabad. Several residential apartments like ASBL Lakeside, IT HEIGHTS, Niharika Interlake, Niharika Lakefront are situated in Khajaguda.

The Inner Ring Road is a 50 kilometer city arterial road in Hyderabad, Telangana. It was built to decongest city roads and give way for trucks and other commercial vehicles.

In Hyderabad, India, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is in charge of the civic administration and infrastructure of the city. It was formed in April 2007 by merging 100 wards of the erstwhile Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) with twelve municipalities of neighbouring two districts. GHMC covers an area of 650 km2 (250 sq mi), spread over the four districts—Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal–Malkajgiri and Sangareddy. The GHMC is divided into five zones and eighteen circles that contain 150 municipal wards. Each ward is headed by a corporator, elected by popular vote. The corporators elect The City Mayor who is the titular head of GHMC. The executive powers of the GHMC lie with the Municipal Commissioner appointed by the Government of Telangana. The State Election Commission (SEC) monitors the municipal elections that are held in the city once in every five years. The first election of the GHMC were held in December 2009. The Indian National Congress alliance with Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen formed the majority, with the agreement of sharing the mayor post equally between the two parties.

The Radial Road or RR are roads identified as the main connecting roads between inner ring road and outer ring road in Hyderabad, Telangana India. It was built for better connectivity between city roads.

Safilguda lake, originally named as Nadimi Cheruvu and Mini Tank Bund, is a lake located in Safilguda Hamlet, Neredmet Village, Secunderabad, Telangana, India. There is a park adjacent to the lake called Safilguda Lake Park. The lake has a small island called Nadimi Bird Island. It is covered with thick trees, which attract a variety of wildlife, especially migratory birds. Katta Misamma Temple is located on the shoreline of the lake. The road around the lake is similar to the Necklace Road around the "tank bund" on the Hussain Sagar Lake and hence the lake is also called "Mini Tank Bund". The park is a popular attraction for jogging and evening walks. Several movies have been shot at this lake. "Elluvochi Godaramma" song shot at Safilguda lake is a very popular song.

Khajaguda Lake, also known as Bhagirathamma Cheruvu is a lake in Ranga Reddy District in the Indian state of Telangana and on the western edge of the city of Hyderabad, in the suburb of Manikonda, in the middle of Makthakousarali, Khajaguda area. It is near to SAS Infra iTower, a very high-rise commercial complex, situated on Khajaguda - Nanakramguda Road.
