The Inner Ring Road is a 50 kilometer city arterial road in Hyderabad , Telangana. [1] It was built to decongest city roads and give way for trucks and other commercial vehicles.
IRR's master plan called as Intelligent Transport System was done by Nippon Koei india private Limited of Japan. The project which includes the Outer Ring Road, Hyderabad, has been implemented with assistance from Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and its construction has finished in 2008. [2]
The road passes through Mehdipatnam including Masab Tank, Banjara Hills, NH 65 via Punjagutta, NH 44 via Begumpet, Mettuguda, Tarnaka, Habsiguda, Uppal, NH163 via Bhuvanagiri road, Nagole, L. B. Nagar, karmanghat, champapet, Santoshnagar crossroads, NH 765 via Chandrayangutta, Kurnool highway, Rajendranagar bypass road, via SH 2 Attapur, RethBowli. [3] The road joins the P. V. Narasimha Rao Expressway at Aramgarh. [4]
A ring road is a road or a series of connected roads encircling a town, city, or country. The most common purpose of a ring road is to assist in reducing traffic volumes in the urban centre, such as by offering an alternate route around the city for drivers who do not need to stop in the city core. Ring roads can also serve to connect suburbs to each other, allowing efficient travel between them.
National Highway 8 is a 4-lane National Highway in India. According to estimates, it is the busiest highway in the subcontinent, as it connects the national capital Delhi to the financial capital Mumbai, as well as important cities Gurgaon, Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Nadiad, Anand and Kheda. The total length is 1428km. Under the new numbering it has become part of the NH48.

Delhi has significant reliance on its transport infrastructure. The Hyderabad Metro is a rapid transit system, serving the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is the second longest operational metro network in India after the Delhi Metro with 57 stations and the lines are arranged in a secant model. It is funded by a public–private partnership (PPP), with the state government holding a minority equity stake. A special purpose vehicle company, L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd (L&TMRHL), was established by the construction company L&T to develop the Hyderabad metro rail project. Hyderabad Metro is the world's largest elevated Metro Rail system based on DBFOT basis.
Miyapur, located 22.5 kilometres (14.0 mi) northwest of Hyderabad, is part of Greater Hyderabad and administered by GHMC and developed by HMDA. Transportation is managed by UMTA.
The Outer Ring Road, officially as, Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road and abbreviated as, O.R.R., is a 158 kilometer, 8-lanes ring road expressway encircling Hyderabad, capital of the Indian state of Telangana. The expressway is designed for speeds up to 100 km/h. A large part, 124 km of the 158-km was opened by December 2012.
National Highway 65, , is a National Highway in India. It runs along the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It starts at Pune and ends at Machilipatnam. Major cities on this route are Pune, Solapur, Hyderabad, Suryapet, Vijayawada and Machilipatnam. The section between Hyderabad and Vijayawada, is known as Vijayawada–Hyderabad Expressway and is a major expressway.

These are controlled-access highways where entrance and exits are controlled by the use of ramps that are incorporated into the design of the expressway, whereas National highways are at-grade roads. Some roads are not access-controlled expressways, but are still officially called expressways, such as the Biju Expressway, Ranchi Hazaribagh Expressway and Raipur–Bilaspur Expressway; these highways do not meet expressway standards. P. V. Narasimha Rao Expressway is an 11.6 km long elevated road connecting the Hyderabad International Airport with Mehdipatnam. Chief minister Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy laid the foundation stone for the project. It was opened to the traffic at the end points on 19 October 2009. The entry for cyclists, two and three-wheelers, three and four-wheeled seven seater and goods vehicles is prohibited.

In Tamil Nadu, the Highways & Minor Ports Department (HMPD) is primarily responsible for construction and maintenance of roads including national highways, state highways and major district roads. HMPD was established as Highways Department (HD) in April 1946 and subsequently renamed on 30 October 2008. It operates through seven wings namely National Highways Wing, Construction & Maintenance Wing, NABARD and Rural Roads Wing, Projects Wing, Metro Wing, Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project Wing, Investigation and Designs Wing geographically spread across the state in 38 districts with about 120 divisions and 450 subdivisions.
The Regional Ring Road is a proposed ring road around the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is a 6 lane, 330-kilometre-long (210 mi) road, planned on strengthening the existing road network and by adding new stretches wherever linkages were found missing. It helps connect the districts around city of Hyderabad. It helps in linking major national highways like NH 65, NH 44, NH 163, NH 765.
Inter City Bus Terminal (ICBT) is an upcoming bus terminus at Miyapur area of the Indian city of Hyderabad. It is owned by the HMDA and operated under a public–private partnership. The terminal once completed, would be one of the largest in Asia. The buses belonging to TSRTC will operate here. It will be one of the largest bus stations in India, with 200 bus bays. The project was cancelled in June 2018

Delhi–Meerut Expressway or National Expressway 3 is India's widest 96 km long controlled-access expressway, connecting Delhi with Meerut via Dasna in Ghaziabad in India. The 8 lanes old stretch of National Highway 9 (NH-9) up to Dasna is widened to 14 lanes(widest expressway in India). The fourth phase of the expressway is built on a new alignment from Dasna to Meerut – a six-lane stretch joining Meerut bypass. The 28 km (17 mi) stretch between Nizamuddin Bridge and Dasna is one of the most congested areas in the NCR.The total project cost is estimated to be between ₹8,000–10,000 crores.
