Glay is a Japanese rock band formed in Hakodate in 1988. The core four members, vocalist Teru, guitarists Takuro and Hisashi, and bassist Jiro, have been together since 1992. Primarily composing songs in the rock and pop genres, they have also arranged songs using elements from a variety of other genres, including progressive rock, punk, electronic, R&B, folk, gospel, reggae, and ska. Originally a visual kei band, the group slowly shifted to less dramatic attire through the years. With five million copies sold, Glay's 1997 compilation album Review is the fifth best-selling album of all time in Japan. Review is the first greatest hits album by Japanese rock band Glay. It was released on October 10, 1997, and contains the band's most popular songs from their 1994 album Hai to Diamond to their fourth album Beloved. The album sold over 2,003,000 copies in the first week of release, debuting at number-one on the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart. It remained in the top position for five consecutive weeks. Review was certified for five million copies sold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan in December 1998, making it the fifth best-selling album in Japanese history.

Pentagon is a South Korean multi-national boy band formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016. The group consists of nine members: Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino and Wooseok. Originally composed of ten members, E'Dawn left the group and the record label on November 14, 2018. They were introduced through the Mnet survival show Pentagon Maker. Pentagon released their self-titled debut EP on October 10, 2016.

Taemin is the self-titled third studio album and debut Japanese studio album by South Korean singer Taemin. The album contains twelve tracks and includes Japanese versions of previously released songs by Taemin. The album was released digitally on November 5, 2018, through EMI Records and Universal Music Japan. The album's physical release occurred on November 28, 2018.

ExWhyZ, formerly known as Empire, is a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed between WACK and Avex Trax in 2017. They have released five studio albums, two EPs, and five singles since their formation. They re-branded to ExWhyZ in 2022 and re-debuted under EMI Records.

"Scars" is a song recorded by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on October 13, 2021, as a double A-side Japanese second single together with the Japanese version of "Thunderous", through Epic Records Japan. Written by 3Racha, KM-Markit, and Armadillo, it shows the group's determination to continue to make deep and large scars to grasp a bigger dream even though they have a lot of them. The song peaked at number two on both Oricon Singles Chart, and Billboard Japan Hot 100, selling over 180,000 copies in the first week in Japan. The Korean version of "Scars" was released on December 23 as a lead single of their second compilation album SKZ2021.

<i>The Sound</i> (Stray Kids album) 2023 studio album by Stray Kids

The Sound is the debut Japanese-language studio album and third overall by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on February 22, 2023, through Epic Records Japan, eight months after their second Japanese-language EP Circus (2022). Centered on an orchestra theme and the group's own unique music concept, the album consists of ten tracks, preceded by "Scars", the Japanese versions of "Thunderous" and "Case 143", and the title track. The Sound debuted atop Oricon Albums Chart for the first time, and Billboard Japan Hot Albums.

<i>Social Path / Super Bowl (Japanese Ver.)</i> 2023 EP by Stray Kids

Social Path / Super Bowl is the third Japanese-language extended play by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on September 6, 2023, through Epic Records Japan. The EP has been marketed as the group's "Japan first EP", despite having two previous, which were officially classified as "mini-album". It features a guest appearance from Japanese singer-songwriter Lisa. Commercially, Social Path / Super Bowl reached number one on the Oricon Albums Chart and Billboard Japan Hot Albums for two consecutive weeks.
