Universe:The History (stylized in all caps) is the second studio album and debut Japanese album release by South Korean boy group Pentagon. The album was released on September 23,2020,containing Japanese songs from their debut mini album Gorilla and debut singles "Cosmo" and "Happiness / Sha La La". Member Jinho participated in the activities before enlisted for his mandatory military service on May 11,2020. [1]
Starting July 20,2020,Pentagon individual images with the phrase "PENTAGON 2020.07.28 TUE 5PM" were posted on their official Japan Twitter account. However,the purpose of the teaser image was not clarified. [2] On July 28,it was confirmed that the group will release their first full-length Japanese album Universe:The History. [3]
On August 4,Pentagon released jacket photos of their first studio album Universe:The History through their website. It was released in three versions:a limited edition A with a DVD containing a 60-minute movie "Spring Story",a limited edition B with a 100-page photo book,and a regular edition with a CD only. In addition,the 8 solo version of each member will be released in a total of 11 formats. [4]
On September 9,Pentagon unveiled the song "Dr. Bebe (Japanese Ver.)" on Teru's radio program TERU ME NIGHT GLAY. [5] The song was officially released through various streaming platforms on September 14. [6] Accompanying the album release was a live performance video of "Dr. Bebe (Japanese Ver.)". [7]

Glay is a Japanese rock band formed in Hakodate in 1988. The core four members, vocalist Teru, guitarists Takuro and Hisashi, and bassist Jiro, have been together since 1992. Primarily composing songs in the rock and pop genres, they have also arranged songs using elements from a variety of other genres, including progressive rock, punk, electronic, R&B, folk, gospel, reggae, and ska. Originally a visual kei band, the group slowly shifted to less dramatic attire through the years. With five million copies sold, Glay's 1997 compilation album Review is the fifth best-selling album of all time in Japan. Their July 1999 concert at Makuhari Messe was attended by 200,000 people, making it the largest-ticketed concert ever held by a single act at the time. As of 2008, Glay had sold an estimated 51 million records; 28 million singles and 23 million albums, making them one of the top ten best-selling artists of all time in Japan.
Review is the first greatest hits album by Japanese rock band Glay. It was released on October 10, 1997, and contains the band's most popular songs from their 1994 album Hai to Diamond to their fourth album Beloved. The album sold over 2,003,000 copies in the first week of release, debuting at number-one on the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart. It remained in the top position for five consecutive weeks. Review was certified for five million copies sold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan in December 1998, making it the fifth best-selling album in Japanese history.

"Scars" is a song recorded by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on October 13, 2021, as a double A-side Japanese second single together with the Japanese version of "Thunderous", through Epic Records Japan. Written by 3Racha, KM-Markit, and Armadillo, it shows the group's determination to continue to make deep and large scars to grasp a bigger dream even though they have a lot of them. The song peaked at number two on both Oricon Singles Chart, and Billboard Japan Hot 100, selling over 180,000 copies in the first week in Japan. The Korean version of "Scars" was released on December 23 as a lead single of their second compilation album SKZ2021.

The Sound is the debut Japanese-language studio album and third overall by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on February 22, 2023, through Epic Records Japan, eight months after their second Japanese-language EP Circus (2022). Centered on an orchestra theme and the group's own unique music concept, the album consists of ten tracks, preceded by "Scars", the Japanese versions of "Thunderous" and "Case 143", and the title track. The Sound debuted atop Oricon Albums Chart for the first time, and Billboard Japan Hot Albums.
Social Path / Super Bowl is the third Japanese-language extended play by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on September 6, 2023, through Epic Records Japan. The EP has been marketed as the group's "Japan first EP", despite having two previous, which were officially classified as "mini-album". It features a guest appearance from Japanese singer-songwriter Lisa. Commercially, Social Path / Super Bowl reached number one on the Oricon Albums Chart and Billboard Japan Hot Albums for two consecutive weeks.
