The University of Applied Sciences Kufstein, is an Austrian Fachhochschule in Kufstein, Tyrol.
The University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein is an accredited provider of higher education in Austria. [1] The university offers Bachelor and Master degrees as well as a post-graduate program. The university also hosts events and conferences pertaining to the various areas of studies.
The university employs approximately 500 professors and lecturers [2] with either business or science backgrounds. Currently there are approximately 2,200 students enrolled in degree programs, including approx. 200 exchange students from around 50 countries who attend the various classes taught in English. Students enrolled in full-time bachelor's degree programs are required to participate in a study abroad program for at least one semester during their studies. Fifty percent of the degree programs are offered as part-time studies, which also enables employed professionals to study at weekends or in a blocked form. In April 2006, the cooperation agreement with the hundredth international partner university was concluded. At present, a network of more than 200 international partner universities is maintained, because the obligatory exchange program is an integral part of all degree programs. [3]
The accreditations and certifications confirm conformity with prescribed standards and offer users and stakeholders of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein help and support when choosing the institution where they wish to study. The University of Applied Sciences Kufstein and its study programs are accredited according to the Austrian University of Applied Sciences Studies Act. [4] This accreditation confirms that the programs, which are inspected and evaluated at regular intervals, fulfil recognized standards applicable to universities of applied sciences.
In 2010 the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein underwent an institutional evaluation carried out by AQ Austria, [5] the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria. This resulted in indefinite accreditation in line with Article 23 of the Act on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (HS-QSG).
ECTS & Diploma Supplement Label [6]
In 2012 the European Commission awarded the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein the ECTS Label and the Diploma Supplement Label, confirming its excellence and high quality in the field of international mobility. The guidelines in these labels require that universities provide transparent study and learning content in two languages as well as standardized documentation of academic achievements and agreements related to the academic recognition. The main aim of the labels is to promote international mobility amongst students.

Unicert Accreditation [9]
Unicert is a foreign-language education and certification system designed specifically for universities. Persons who have completed Unicert courses receive a certificate setting out in a clear and detailed manner the foreign languages skills they have acquired and the command they have of the language. This certificate can be used in both university and non-university settings.

The FH Kufstein Tirol Business School offers postgraduate programs. All of the programs are organized in cooperation with industry partners in a part-time format for the convenience of working professionals. A bachelor's degree or baccalaureate is an undergraduate academic degree awarded by colleges and universities upon completion of a course of study lasting three to six years. The two most common bachelor's degrees are the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Science. In some institutions and educational systems, certain bachelor's degrees can only be taken as graduate or postgraduate educations after a first degree has been completed, although more commonly the successful completion of a bachelor's degree is a prerequisite for further courses such as a master's or a doctorate.
The University of Akureyri was founded in 1987 in the town of Akureyri in the northeastern part of Iceland. A Fachhochschule, abbreviated FH is a university of applied sciences (UAS), in other words a German tertiary education institution that provides vocational education ìn many applied sciences and applied arts, such as engineering, technology, business, architecture, design, and industrial design.
A graduate diploma is generally a qualification taken after completion of a first degree, although the level of study varies in different countries from being at the same level as the final year of a bachelor's degree to being at a level between a master's degree and a doctorate.
