The University of California, Riverside, is organized into three academic colleges, two professional schools, and two graduate schools. These units provide 81 majors and 52 minors, 48 master's degree programs, and 42 PhD programs. [1] It is the only UC campus to offer undergraduate degrees in Creative Writing and Public Policy, and one of only three UCs (along with Berkeley and Irvine) to offer an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. [2] Additionally, UCR's doctoral program in the emerging field of Dance theory, founded in 1992, was the first program of its kind in the United States. The A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, is a part of the UCR School of Business located at the University of California, Riverside. Current offerings include MBA, Ph.D., Master of Finance and Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) programs.

The history of the University of California, Riverside, or UCR, started in 1907 when UCR was the University's Citrus Experiment Station. By the 1950s, the University had established a teaching-focused liberal arts curriculum at the site, in the spirit of a small liberal arts college, but California's rapidly growing population made it necessary for the Riverside campus to become a full-fledged general campus of the UC system, and it was so designated in 1959.

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) is a teaching, research and Extension scientific organization focused on agriculture and natural resources. It is a partnership of federal, state, and county governments that includes an Extension office in each of Florida's 67 counties, 12 off-campus research and education centers, five demonstration units, the University of Florida College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, three 4-H camps, portions of the UF College of Veterinary Medicine, the Florida Sea Grant program, the Emerging Pathogens Institute, the UF Water Institute and the UF Genetics Institute.

Ivan Henrik Hinderaker was an American educator and academic administrator. He served as the second chancellor of the University of California, Riverside from 1964 to 1979. At the time, Hinderaker was the longest-serving chancellor of any University of California campus. Hinderaker Hall at UC Riverside was named in his honor.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">UCLA School of Nursing</span>

The UCLA School of Nursing is a nursing school affiliated with UCLA, and is located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The school is housed in the Doris and Louis Factor Health Sciences Building, known as the Factor Building, on the south end of UCLA's 400-plus-acre campus, adjacent to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Robert D. Grey is a long-time academic administrator and researcher and educator in the field of cellular and molecular biology. He has spent the majority of his career in positions in the University of California system, including interim provost of the UC system, acting chancellor at UC Riverside and provost and executive vice chancellor at UC Davis. He was also a well-regarded and award-winning faculty member at UC Davis.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">UCLA College of Letters and Science</span> College of the University of California, Los Angeles

The UCLA College of Letters and Science is the arts and sciences college of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). It encompasses the Life and Physical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Honors Program and other programs for both undergraduate and graduate students. It is often called UCLA College or the College, which is not ambiguous because the College is the only educational unit at UCLA to be currently denominated as a "college." All other educational units at UCLA are currently labeled as schools or institutes.

The Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Riverside offers credentials and MA and PhD programs in various fields of teacher education and educational administration. Significant research centers include the California Community College Collaborative, a professional development, leadership training and policy research institute for the community college system, and the Copernicus Project, dedicated to increasing the quality of science educators and education. Also notable is a center dedicated to researching and supporting education for autistic children.

The University of California, Irvine has over fourteen academic divisions.

The University of California, Riverside (UCR), School of Medicine is the graduate medical school of the University of California, Riverside, acting as one of six University of California medical schools. It enrolled its first class in 2013, with the first class of 40 medical students receiving their degrees on June 9, 2017.

Satish K. Tripathi is an Indian-American academic, a computer scientist and academic administrator. He is the first foreign-born president of the University at Buffalo (UB), the flagship of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Previously, he served as provost of University at Buffalo from 2004 to 2011. From 1997-2004, Tripathi served as dean of the Bourns College of Engineering at University of California, Riverside.

The School of Business at the University of California, Riverside is home to the largest undergraduate business program in the University of California system, as well as the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management.
