Usher concert chronology

Usher: Past Present and Future is the upcoming sixth concert tour by R&B artist Usher. It was announced on February 6, 2024, [1] in support of his ninth studio album, Coming Home (2024). The tour is set to begin on August 14, 2024, in his hometown, Atlanta, and will conclude on May 29, 2025 in London.

The tour announcement follows after his 100-show residencies at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and Park MGM in Las Vegas that took place from 2021 and 2022–23, respectively, [2] as well as Usher headlining the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show at the Allegiant Stadium on February 11, 2024. [3] The tour was met with an overwhelming demand expanding from the original 24 shows to 58, more than doubling the amount of shows that were previously announced. [4]

Background

In 2021, Usher embarked on his first ever concert residency, Usher: Las Vegas Residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The residency was met with critical acclaim and was praised by his fans. All 20 shows of the residency were sold out completely across July, August & December. Soon after the residency closed, Usher announced that he was starting a new Vegas residency in July 2022 at Park MGM titled, Usher: My Way - The Las Vegas Residency which helped celebrate the 25th anniversary of his album My Way . The residency sold out consistency throughout its run and was extended several times until December 2023 to meet the popular demand. With both residencies, Usher did a total of 100 shows in Las Vegas, becoming one of the most critically-acclaimed Vegas residencies of all-time. [5]

Deuces Are Wild was a concert residency by American hard rock band Aerosmith that lasted from April 2019 until November 2022, with 55 concerts at the Park Theater in Las Vegas, nine concerts at three MGM venues on the East Coast, as well as a July 2019 festival performance in Minnesota, and two performances in New England in September 2022. This marked Aerosmith's first concert residency. The residency originally consisted of 18 Las Vegas concerts scheduled from April through July of 2019, but 17 additional Vegas concerts and the nine East Coast concerts were added due to high demand. An additional 15 shows in 2020 were added due to continued demand. The band announced a six-week European tour would take place during the summer of 2020 following the last of the residency dates. Bruno Mars at Park MGM is a concert residency held at the Park Theater, Park MGM in Las Vegas and The Theater at MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill in Maryland by American singer and songwriter Bruno Mars. Both venues are located in the United States. The setlist, which featured songs from Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010), Unorthodox Jukebox (2012), 24K Magic (2016) and various covers, was performed by Mars, backed by his eight-piece band, The Hooligans. The concert residency was promoted by Live Nation and MGM Resorts, lasted eight years and grossed $53.2 million. It attracted a wide-ranging audience of all age groups. The April 2020 dates were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The residency won Top R&B Tour at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

Weekends with Adele is the first concert residency by English singer Adele, held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Initially scheduled to commence on 21 January 2022, she postponed it due to production delays and her team contracting COVID-19. Adele rescheduled the residency to begin on 18 November 2022, and after being extended, it is set to conclude its run on 15 June 2024. As part of it, she performs two shows at the venue every weekend.

Coming Home is the ninth studio album by American singer Usher. It was released on February 9, 2024 through gamma., coinciding with his Super Bowl LVIII halftime show performance. It is Usher's first solo album since Hard II Love (2016) and follows the release of his collaborative album with record producer Zaytoven, A (2018). Coming Home features collaborations with Burna Boy, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Latto, The-Dream, H.E.R., Pheelz, and Jungkook.

Adele in Munich is the second concert residency by English singer Adele, held in a purpose-built, 80,000-seat outdoor arena at Messe München in Munich. It is set to begin on 2 August 2024 and will end 31 August 2024. With 2 shows each weekend, it is expected the setlist will be the longest in her career.
