Voetbalvereniging Waardenburg Neerijnen Combinatie (VV WNC) is a football club from Waardenburg, Netherlands. Its home ground is Sportpark De Korte Woerden, located near and visible from the A2 motorway. [1]
WNC was founded on 1 September 1950.
In 2014, through playoffs, the club promoted for the first time to the Eerste Klasse. In the celebrations, 20 members of the club were injured, when a moving trailer rolled over. [2] [3]
In 2022, WNC promoted to the Vierde Divisie, also through playoffs. [4] In 2023, after just one season in the Vierde Divisie, WNC relegated to the Eerste Klasse through the playoffs. [5] On 21 October 2023, WNC threw Vierde-Divisie-side ASWH out of the KNVB regional cup, after beating it 5–6 in penalties. The game and extansion had ended in a 1–1 draw.

Sportpark De Korte Woerden ligt zo dicht bij de vluchtstrook aan de A2, dat zo heel af en toe wel eens een bal de snelweg op gaat. Bij WNC hoopt men intern dat de ligging van het veld vanaf de snelweg zichtbaar blijft. De reclame-uitingen langs het hoofdveld zijn moneymakers voor de Waardenburgers.
Alle slachtoffers van het ongeval met de kampioenskar, gisterenavond in het Gelderse Waardenburg, maken het naar omstandigheden goed. In totaal 20 leden van voetbalclub Waardenburg-Neerijnen-Combinatie (WNC) raakten gewond toen de kar waar ze op stonden door nog onbekende oorzaak kantelde.
In het Gelderse Waardenburg is zaterdagavond een ongeluk gebeurd met een platte kar met feestvierderende spelers van de plaatselijke voetbalclub WNC, ook wel kampioenskar genoemd. Zestien mensen zijn gewond geraakt toen de wagen kantelde, van wie er één ernstige maar niet levensbedreigende verwondingen opliep.
WNC is voor het eerst in de clubgeschiedenis gepromoveerd naar de hoofdklasse, die komend seizoen vierde divisie heet. Op het veld van DFS in Opheusden won de eersteklasser uit Waardenburg met 2-0 van DUNO, dat na vier seizoenen uit de hoofdklasse degradeert.
