Va'a, also called the outrigger canoe, for the 2013 Pacific Mini Games , was held in Gahi village and its namesake bay area. It is located in the southeast coast of Wallis and Futuna. Competition for this sport was on the 3 to 6 September 2013. [1]

The official flag of Wallis and Futuna is the French national flag, as it is a French territory. Wallis and Futuna has a locally used unofficial flag which bears the French flag in the canton.
The Wallis and Futuna national football team is the national football team of Wallis and Futuna. Wallis and Futuna is not a member of FIFA and, therefore, is not eligible to enter either the FIFA World Cup or the OFC Nations Cup, and due to the low investment in sport on the part of the country, it has been many years since it played an international match.
Rugby union in Wallis and Futuna is a popular sport within the French overseas territory.

Wallis and Futuna competed at the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea from 4 to 18 July 2015. Wallis and Futuna listed 64 competitors as of 4 July 2015. Three competitors were qualified in two sports.

Outrigger canoeing, mostly using va'a canoes, has been contested at the Pacific Games since the 1995 edition held in Papeete, Tahiti. The va'a rudderless outrigger has been raced at all regattas, although the "Galaide II" outrigger canoe with rudder has also been used. Tahiti has dominated the competition since inception, topping the medal count at all regattas the country has attended. The Pacific Mini Games has also hosted va'a regattas, with the first events held in Koror, Palau at the 2005 Mini Games.
Taekwondo at the Pacific Games has been contested since 1995 when it was introduced for the tenth edition at Papeete, Tahiti. Women's taekwondo was added in 1999 for the games held in Guam.
Outrigger canoeing at the 2019 Pacific Games was held in Samoa from 9–13 July at the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort, Mulifanua, which is approximately 40 kilometres west of the capital, Apia.

The Wallis and Futuna national badminton team represents Wallis and Futuna, an Overseas collectivity of France, in international badminton team competitions. It became an associate member of Badminton Oceania in August 2021. The team made its international debut at the 2022 Pacific Mini Games in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, in June 2022.
