Krešimir "Krešo" Ćosić was a Croatian-Yugoslavian professional basketball player and coach. He was a collegiate All-American at Brigham Young University. He revolutionized basketball in Yugoslavia and was the first basketball player in the world to play all five positions.

Cesare Rubini was an Italian professional basketball player and coach, and a water polo player. He was considered to be one of the greatest European basketball coaches of all time, Rubini was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1994, making him the first, and to this day, just one of three Italian basketball figures to receive such an honour, alongside Dino Meneghin and Sandro Gamba. He was also inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2000.

Marvin "Mendy" Rudolph was an American professional basketball referee in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 22 years, from 1953 to 1975. One of the few basketball game officials to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, Rudolph was the first league referee to work 2,000 games. and officiated 2,112 NBA games in all, a record that he held at retirement. He was also selected to referee eight NBA All-Star Games and made 22 consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
Arthur Ignatius McNally was an American football executive who was director of officiating for the National Football League (NFL) from 1968 to 1991. Before becoming director of officiating—succeeding Mark Duncan, who had held the position from 1964 to 1968—McNally served as a field judge and referee in the NFL for nine years from 1959 to 1967. During a 22-year span, he officiated over 3,000 football, baseball, and basketball games, which included one year in the National Basketball Association (NBA). In 2022, McNally became the first NFL game official to be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Léon Bouffard was a Swiss athlete and sports administrator. As an athlete, he competed in pole vault, winning the Swiss championship in 1914. He was the founder and president of the Swiss Basketball Federation. He co-founded FIBA in 1932 and served as FIBA's president from 1932 to 1948. He organized 1st European Basketball Championship in 1935 and 4th European Basketball Championship in 1946, both in Geneva. Since 1948 he served as the Honorary President of FIBA. In 2007, he was enshrined as a contributor into the FIBA Hall of Fame.
Mario Hopenhaym was a Uruguayan basketball referee. He refereed international games from 1963 to 1984. Tournaments he worked include 1964 Olympic Games and 1968 Olympic Games, 1967 World Championships, 1971 World Women's Championship and 1975 World Women's Championship. He served as Technical Commissioner in the Olympics in 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004. In 2006, he was awarded the FIBA Order of Merit. He was enshrined in the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2007.

Allen Rae was a Canadian basketball referee. He refereed in the 1964 Olympics, 1968 Olympics, 1972 Olympics and 1976 Olympics. He also refereed the final of the 1975 European Championship. He was the Technical Commissioner in 1984 Olympics, 1988 Olympics, 1992 Olympics, 1990 World Championship and 1983 Pan American Games. From 1984 to 1994, he served as Vice President of the Technical Commission of the FIBA. He also served as the President of the Dr. James Naismith Basketball Foundation & Museum since 2003. In 1997 Rae was awarded FIBA Order of Merit, and in 2007 he was enshrined in the FIBA Hall of Fame.
Nikolai Vladimirovich Semashko was a Soviet sports administrator. He was the head of the Soviet State Sports Committee. He also served as Vice President of the FIBA (1960–1976) and President of the Standing Conference of Europe (1967–1976). In 2007, he was enshrined as a contributor in the FIBA Hall of Fame.
Vanya Voynova was a Bulgarian basketball player. She has played for Slavia Sofia from 1950 to 1968, winning the European Champions' Cup in 1959 and 1963 and Bulgarian league 12 times from 1953 to 1965. With the Bulgaria women's national basketball team, she has won silver in the 1959 World Championship, bronze in the 1964 World Championship, gold in the 1958 European Championship, silver in the 1960 European Championship and 1964 European Championship and bronze in the 1954 European Championship and 1962 European Championship. She has been inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001 and FIBA Hall of Fame in 2007.
Ranko Žeravica was a Serbian professional basketball coach. With a career that spanned over 50 years, he is most noted for his work with the senior Yugoslav national team, during the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s. In particular, Žeravica's single biggest achievement was guiding the country to its first ever major competition win — a gold medal on home soil, at the 1970 FIBA World Championship — leading to a huge expansion of the game of basketball throughout Yugoslavia.
Costas Rigas ,(born March 29, 1944 in Greece), is a retired Greek pro basketball player, and a former pro basketball referee. Rigas is a member of the EuroLeague's 50 greatest contributors. In 2013, he was enshrined into the FIBA Hall of Fame.
