Vanlalzawma a politician from Mizoram who was a Member of the Mizoram (Lok Sabha constituency) in the 13th Lok Sabha and 14th Lok Sabha. Before he became a politician,he was the president of Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA) in 1993 at the age of 37 and served two terms. During this period CYMA had wildlife conservation as its yearly goal ("nungcha humhalh kum" in Mizo) and Vanlalzawma received an award for CYMA from the President of India,for successful wildlife conservation in Mizoram.
At the age of 43,he was elected to be the MP of Mizoram in 1999 (He was a history lecturer prior to this and he has deep interest in education). Immediately after he became the MP in 2000,he successfully pursued the overdue Mizoram University Bill in the Parliament. Which as a result,Mizoram University (MZU) was established on 2 July 2001,by the Mizoram University Act (2000) of the Parliament of India.
He is a good mathematician and besides his career he loves playing Chess. He was the highest rated chess player in Mizoram for several years. He is also very good at running and has won several medals at Mizoram games in 100 meters sprint.

The Mizo National Front is a regional political party in Mizoram,India. MNF emerged from the Mizo National Famine Front,which was formed by Pu Laldenga to protest against the inaction of the Government of India towards the famine situation in the Mizo areas of the Assam state in 1959. It staged a major uprising in 1966,followed by years of underground activities. In 1986,it signed the Mizoram Accord with the Government of India,renouncing secession and violence. The MNF then began contesting elections and has formed state government in Mizoram three times. It is currently the state's ruling party,with its president,Zoramthanga,as the Chief Minister of Mizoram.

Squadron Leader Rajeshwar Prasad Bidhuri,also known as Rajesh Pilot was an Indian politician,a minister in the Government of India and a former Indian Air Force officer. The Young Mizo Association (YMA) is the largest and most comprehensive non-profit,secular,nongovernmental organisation of the Mizo people. It was established on 15 June 1935,originally as the Young Lushai Association (YLA),which was later replaced with the "Young Mizo Association" in 1947. It was initiated by the Welsh Christian missionaries who understood the need of cultural conservation of the Mizo tribe,who were under pressure of political and social modernisations. United Democratic Front is a front of eight political parties in the Indian state of Mizoram. The front fielded Robert Romawia Royte for Mizoram's lone Lok Sabha constituency in the 2014 Indian general election. Founded in March 2014,it supports the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). It was agreed that,if Royte wins the election,he would support the NDA in the Lok Sabha. Royte lost the election to Indian National Congress' C. L. Ruala by a margin of 11,361 votes.
Lalnghinglova Hmar is a journalist and sports promoter in Mizoram,India. He works as the joint editor of Vanglaini,a leading daily newspaper in Mizo language. He is also currently the honorary secretary of the Mizoram Football Association,executive committee member of the All India Football Federation,and chairman of the AIFF League Committee. Through his journalism and sports activities,he has been credited with the revolution of football in Mizoram. He helped to establish the Mizoram Premier League,for which he is recognised as the father of Mizo football.
C. Lalrosanga is an Indian politician from Mizoram and member of the Mizo National Front. He is a sitting Member of Parliament of the 17th Lok Sabha,the lower house of the Indian Parliament. He was elected from the only one-seat Mizoram constituency. He won over Lalnghinglova Hmar,IND candidate,and other candidates Nirupam Chakma of the BJP,TBC Lalvenchhunga of the PRISM,and independent candidates —Lal Hriatrenga Chhangte and Lalthlamuani by getting a total vote 223,509 (44.99%).
K. Vanlalvena is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament at the Rajya Sabha from Mizoram. He belongs to the Mizo National Front backed by the National Democratic Alliance.
