C. Lalrosanga is an Indian politician from Mizoram and member of the Mizo National Front. He was a Member of Parliament of the 17th Lok Sabha,the lower house of the Indian Parliament,elected from the only seat of the Mizoram constituency. [1] He won over Lalnghinglova Hmar,an independent candidate,and other candidates Nirupam Chakma of the BJP,T. B.C. Lalvenchhunga of the PRISM,and independent candidates —Lal Hriatrenga Chhangte and Lalthlamuani by getting a total vote 223,509 (44.99%). [2]
Lalrosanga is a graduate of Pachhunga University College. [3]
C. Lalrosanga joined All India Radio as news reader in 1975. After serving for eight years under the Indian Information Service,he joined Indian Broadcasting Programme Service (IBPS) in 1991 [4] and retired as Director General of Doordarshan in 2015. [5]
The Mizo National Front is a regional political party in Mizoram,India. MNF emerged from the Mizo National Famine Front,which was formed by Pu Laldenga to protest against the inaction of the Government of India towards the famine situation in the Mizo areas of the Assam state in 1959. It staged a major uprising in 1966,followed by years of underground activities. In 1986,it signed the Mizoram Accord with the Government of India,renouncing secession and violence. The MNF then began contesting elections and has formed state government in Mizoram three times. It is currently the state's opposition party,with its president,Zoramthanga,as the Former Chief Minister of Mizoram.
Mizoram Secular Alliance (MSA),formerly known as Mizoram Secular Force (MSF) is a political alliance in Mizoram. It was launched ahead of the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. MSA comprised Indian National Congress,Mizoram People's Conference and Zoram Nationalist Party.
Vanlalzawma a politician from Mizoram who was a Member of the Mizoram in the 13th Lok Sabha and 14th Lok Sabha. Before he became a politician,he was the president of Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA) in 1993 at the age of 37 and served two terms. During this period CYMA had wildlife conservation as its yearly goal and Vanlalzawma received an award for CYMA from the President of India,for successful wildlife conservation in Mizoram.
Pachhunga University College (PUC) is a public institute in Aizawl,Mizoram,and the only constituent college of Mizoram University,a central university established by an Act of Parliament of India. Founded in 1958 as Aijal College,it is the oldest and largest college in Mizoram,by enrolment and campus size. It started with intermediate of arts courses,and later expanded to bachelor's degrees in arts,commerce and science. With the opening of master's degree courses in Mizo,philosophy and life sciences,it became the first postgraduate college in Mizoram.
Lalchhanhima Sailo was the founder of Chhinlung Israel People Convention (CIPC) and a leader in the Bnei Menashe community in Mizoram,India. His widow,Lalthlamuani,contested in the Lok Sabha Election 2019 from the Mizoram as an Independent,but lost to C. Lalrosanga of the Mizo National Front.
Lalduhoma is an Indian politician who serves as the 6th Chief Minister of Mizoram since 8 December 2023. Formerly an Indian Police Service officer,he resigned from the security service to the Prime Minister Indira Gandhi,and was elected as Member of Parliament to the Lok Sabha from Mizoram and President of the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee in 1984. He however left the party from which he was elected two years later,for which he was disqualified from the Parliament. He became the first MP in India to be discharged based upon its anti-defection law.
Brigadier Ṭhenphunga Sailo,AVSM (1922–2015) was an Indian military officer and politician who served as the 2nd Chief Minister of Mizoram. C. L. Ruala is an Indian politician from Mizoram and member of the Indian National Congress. He was a Member of Parliament of the 16th Lok Sabha,the lower house of the Indian Parliament. He was elected from the only one-seat Mizoram constituency. He won over Robert Romawia,IND candidate,and M. Lalmanzuala,Aam Aadmi Party candidate,by getting a total vote 210,485 (48.7%). He was also elected member in the previous term during 2009-2014.

The Mizoram Legislative Assembly election,2013 was held on 25 November 2013 in all 40 constituencies of the Legislative Assembly of Mizoram. Results were declared on 9 December. The main contest was between incumbent the Indian National Congress and the Mizo National Front led Mizoram Democratic Alliance. Incumbent Chief Minister Pu Lalthanhawla and his party Indian National Congress won a majority and continued in government.
United Democratic Front is a front of eight political parties in the Indian state of Mizoram. The front fielded Robert Romawia Royte for Mizoram's lone Lok Sabha constituency in the 2014 Indian general election. Founded in March 2014,it supports the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). It was agreed that,if Royte wins the election,he would support the NDA in the Lok Sabha. Royte lost the election to Indian National Congress' C. L. Ruala by a margin of 11,361 votes.
The North-East Democratic Alliance is a political coalition that was formed on May 24,2016,by Bharatiya Janata Party. The motive of the new political front was to protect the interest of the people of the region as well as uniting non-Congress parties in Northeast India. Himanta Biswa Sarma was appointed as the convenor of the front.
K. Beichhua is an Indian politician and retired surgeon. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a former member of the Mizo National Front (MNF) and served as the member of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly for Saiha before resigning to join the BJP. He is former Minister of state in Government of Mizoram as Minister for Social Welfare,Excise &Narcotics &Sericulture department. He resigned as MLA and later joined the BJP after getting expelled from the MNF for anti-party activities.
The Zoram People's Movement is an alliance of six regional parties formed under the leadership of MLA and former IPS Officer Lalduhoma. The party advocates for secularism and the protection of religious minorities in India. In the 2023 Mizoram Assembly polls,the party won 27 seats out of 40 seats and Lalduhoma became the Chief Minister of Mizoram.
Lalnghinglova Hmar is the current Minister of State for Labour,Employment,Skill Development &Entrepreneurship Department,Sport &Youth Services Department and Excise &Narcotics Department. He is also currently the MLA for Aizawl West 2 Assembly constituency.
Zothantluanga is an Indian politician. He was elected to the Mizoram Legislative Assembly from Aizawl West I in the by-election in 2019 as a member of the Mizo National Front.
K. Vanlalvena is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament at the Rajya Sabha from Mizoram. He belongs to the Mizo National Front.
