Rice Memorial High School is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary and college preparatory school in South Burlington, Vermont. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington. The student body is mostly drawn from Northern and Central Vermont but includes other students including international students. The school and buildings were named for Bishop Joseph Rice who had established Cathedral High School in 1917.

Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is a high school located in the town of Hinesburg, Vermont, United States. The school serves the towns of Charlotte, Hinesburg, Shelburne, St. George, and Williston. The enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year was 1,284 students with 103 faculty.
The America East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, known also as the Kevin Roberson America East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, is an award given to the America East Conference's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1979–80 season, the first year of the conference's existence. Ten players have earned the award multiple times. Only three, however, have been named player of the year three times: Reggie Lewis of Northeastern (1985–1987), Taylor Coppenrath of Vermont (2003–2005), and Jameel Warney of Stony Brook (2014–2016).
The Vermont Catamounts men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at Patrick Gym. The team has reached the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament ten times, in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. UVM famously upset Syracuse University in the first round of the 2005 tournament. The Catamounts are coached by John Becker.
John Becker is an American college basketball coach, currently the head coach of the Vermont Catamounts of the America East Conference. He replaced Mike Lonergan, who left to become the coach at George Washington University.
Thomas John "T. J." Sorrentine an American former basketball player and current associate head coach of the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Sorrentine is widely known from his collegiate playing career at Vermont, hitting a three-pointer with 1:10 remaining to help the 13-seed Catamounts defeat fourth-seeded Syracuse 60–57 in overtime in the first round of the 2005 NCAA tournament for the school's first-ever tournament win.

Jake Eaton is a high school athletic director in Proctor, Vermont. Before his executive career, Eaton played in the af2 with the Cape Fear Wildcats in 2004 and the Manchester Wolves in 2005. He went on to the Arena Football League in 2006 and played for the Orlando Predators before retiring in 2009. Eaton was inducted into the University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.
Anthony Miles Lamb is an American professional basketball player for Dolomiti Energia Trento of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He played college basketball for the Vermont Catamounts.

Elinor Purrier St. Pierre, better known as Elle Purrier St. Pierre, is an American track and field athlete who specializes in middle-distance and long-distance running. She won a gold medal in the 3000 meters at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow. Purrier also represented the United States at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Ryan Davis is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Landstede Hammers of the BNXT League. He played college basketball for the Vermont Catamounts and was named the America East Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
Ilona Delsing Rosa Maher is an American rugby union player. She debuted for the United States women's national rugby union team against Japan in 2018, and represented the United States in rugby sevens at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. As a member of US women's national rugby sevens team, she won a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
