Addie Jo "Jody" Conradt is a retired women's basketball coach. She was the head coach for the women's team at University of Texas at Austin (UT). Her coaching career spanned 38 years, with the last 31 years at UT from 1976 to 2007. She also served concurrently as the UT women's athletic director from 1992 to 2001. During her tenure at UT, she achieved several notable personal and team milestones in collegiate basketball. At retirement, she had tallied 900 career victories, second place in all time victories for an NCAA Division I basketball coach. Conradt was inducted in the inaugural class at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 1999.

Anthony Andrew Barone Sr. was an American basketball coach and scout. A native of Chicago, he was head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Barone was appointed as the team's interim coach by Grizzlies general manager Jerry West after West fired Mike Fratello on December 28, 2006. Prior to landing his first head coaching job after Fratello's dismissal, Barone had served as an assistant coach for five seasons. Barone was also the Grizzlies' director of player personnel.

John Burton Rix was an American football and basketball player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Austin College (1909–1910), Southwestern University (1914–1916), Southern Methodist University (1917–1921), the University of Miami (1929), compiling a career college football coaching record of 39–34–11. Rix was also the head basketball coach at the University of Texas at Austin (1911–1912) and at Southern Methodist (1917–1921), tallying a career college basketball mark of 29–37.

Vincent Caldwell Taylor is a retired American professional basketball player who competed in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for one season and is the former assistant coach at Texas Tech University. He played college basketball at Duke, and in the NBA played for the New York Knicks. Taylor also played briefly in the Continental Basketball Association for the Wisconsin Flyers. Taylor had a successful basketball career in Europe, playing a total 13 seasons on European teams in Italy (1984–86), France (1986–92), and Belgium (1992–97).
The UTEP Miners women's basketball team represents University of Texas at El Paso in women's basketball. The school competes in Conference USA in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Miners play home basketball games at Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. Keitha Adams enters her second stint as head coach in 2023, returning after coaching the Miners from 2001 to 2017.
