The Vice Presidential Palace (Indonesian : Istana Wakil Presiden) is occupied by the offices of the Vice President of Indonesia, located on Merdeka Selatan Street in Jakarta. It is currently occupied by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. [1]

Umar Wirahadikusumah was an Indonesian politician and former army general, who served as the fourth vice president of Indonesia, serving from 1983 until 1988. Previously, he was chair of the Audit Board of Indonesia from 1973 until 1983, and Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army from 1969 until 1973. Born to a noble Sundanese family, he was educated at the Europeesche Lagere School Tasikmalaya and Meer Uitgebreid Lager Onderwijs Pasundan. He entered the military in 1943, during the Japanese occupation. He would go on to serve in the Indonesian Army during and after the Indonesian National Revolution, seeing combat in the Madiun Affair and the PRRI rebellion.
The Presidential Security Force of Indonesia is one of the Central Executive Agencies of the Indonesian National Armed Forces responsible for proximate security and escort towards the head of state and VVIP in Indonesia, which includes the President, Vice President with their immediate families, former Presidents and Vice Presidents, and visiting foreign heads of state. Paspampres is based in Jakarta, and its personnel are drawn from deputized best-chosen officers, soldiers, seamen, marines, and airmen from special forces and/or special units within the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). It is commanded by a two-star military general.
Cipanas Palace is one of the seven presidential palaces of Republic of Indonesia. It is located in Cipanas, West Java, Indonesia, near a highway connecting Jakarta and Bandung through Puncak. Located approximately 103 kilometres (64 mi) from Jakarta, or about 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the city of Cianjur. Cipanas Palace is located in the village of Cipanas in Cianjur Regency, at the foot of Mount Gede and at an altitude of 1,100 metres (3,600 ft) above sea level. The building stands on an area of approximately 26 hectares, with the area of the building approximately 7,760 square metres (83,500 sq ft).
Darmono is a former prosecutor and Attorney General of Indonesia. Before retirement, Darmono was deputy attorney general, a position he occupied since 23 December 2009 after the resignation of Abdul Hakim Ritonga. The Presidential Band of the Presidential Security Forces of the Republic of Indonesia, also known commonly in public as the Paspampres Presidential Band, is the foremost military band of the Indonesian National Armed Forces which serves as the military band service of the President of Indonesia, the Vice President of Indonesia, and their families. As part of the Paspampres, it is affiliated to and leads all military bands within the INAF as the country's seniormost military band.

On 25 October 2022, at around 7:00 am Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7), an attempted shooting occurred in front of the Istana Negara in Jakarta, Indonesia. A female assailant trespassed the Istana Negara security layer and attempted to shoot the President and/or Presidential Guard using an FN HP-DA Pistol. President of Indonesia Joko Widodo was not in the Istana Negara at the time of attack as he was visiting East Kalimantan and Nusantara. The assailant was apprehended immediately by the Presidential Guard (Paspampres) and Indonesian National Police on the scene and is currently detained at Metro Jaya Region Police HQ.
The inauguration of Prabowo Subianto as the eighth president of Indonesia took place on Sunday, 20 October 2024, at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta. This inauguration marks the start of the five-year term of Prabowo Subianto as president and Gibran Rakabuming as vice president.

Bobby Kertanegara is a domestic shorthaired tabby cat, known for being the pet of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. After being adopted as a stray at Prabowo's residence on Jalan Kertanegara IV, Jakarta, Bobby quickly became a familiar presence during political events and social media appearances. Following Prabowo’s inauguration as President on 20 October 2024, Bobby moved into the Merdeka Palace.
