Vijayan [1] was an Indian actor, primarily working in Malayalam and Tamil films in the late 1970s. He died following a cardiac arrest in 2007 while he was shooting for Aayudham Seivom . [2] His wife was the niece of former Chief Minister of Kerala E. K. Nayanar.

The story revolves around two impecunious young men, Ramdas and Vijayan who not being able to find any job in Kerala, plan to immigrate to Dubai to make their fortunes but get deceived and end up in Chennai. The film drew upon relevant social factors affecting Kerala of the 1980s such as widespread unemployment and poverty.

Moolayil Narayana Menon Vijayan, popularly known as Vijayan Mash was an Indian academic, orator, columnist and writer of Malayalam literature. Known for his leftist ideals and oratorical skills, Vijayan was the president of the Purogamana Kala Sahitya Sangham and served as the editor of Deshabhimani. He published a number of books of which Chithayile Velicham received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Literary Criticism in 1982.

Inivalappil Mani Vijayan, also known by the nickname Kalo Hiran (Blackbuck), is a former professional football player who also captained the India national football team. Kadhavaseshan is a 2004 Malayalam mystery drama film written and directed by T. V. Chandran, starring Dileep and Jyothirmayi in the lead roles. Veteran Bengali actress Gita Dey made a special appearance. It was the first movie in the 2002 Gujarat Riots trilogy by the director, the second one being Vilapangalkkappuram and the third and final one being Bhoomiyude Avakashikal. The narratives of all these films begin on the same day, 28 February 2002, the day after the Godhra train burning in Gujarat. The film was released on November 11 on the Eve of Diwali.

Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha is a 2009 Indian Malayalam-language mystery film written and directed by Ranjith, starring Mammootty, Shwetha Menon and Mythili. It is based on the novel of the same name by T. P. Rajeevan, which said the true story of the first recorded murder case in Kerala. Mammooty plays three characters in the film. The film was Mythili's debut in cinema. Ranjith also introduced about thirty Malayalam stage artists through this film. The film tells the story of a private detective, who returns to his birthplace, a village called Paleri, to solve a murder mystery that occurred on the same night he was born. Upon the release of the movie, it got an 'A' certificate due to its violent and adult content.

East Coast Vijayan is an Indian film producer, director and lyricist who works in Malayalam language. Being a lyricist, Vijayan wrote the music album Ninakkai, which was released in 1998. The music was given by Balabhaskar and the song Ninakkay Thozhi Punarjanikkam was sung by Biju Narayanan. In 1999, Vijayan came up with his second album in the Ninakkai series named Aadhyamai, composed by Balabhaskar and penned by Vijayan. In 2001, East Coast came up with Ormakkai. The song "Ormakkai Iniyoru Snehageetham" from the album was composed by M. Jayachandran, written by Vijayan and sung by K. J. Yesudas and K. S. Chithra.
