Vinod Sukumaran [1] is an Indian film maker and film editor. He won the National Film Award for Best First Non-Feature Film of a Director for the film Diary of a Housewife in 2001.
He is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India. He has won the Kerala state Film Award as Best Editor for the Malayalam film Ore Kadal directed by Shyamaprasad in 2007 and Ivan Megharoopan directed by P.Balachandran. His first feature film was Haram in 2015. [2]
Vinod Sukumaran was born on 20 January at Palakkad district of Kerala, as the youngest son of K. Sukumaran and M. Karthiyani. After completing his degree (BTA) in Theatre Arts from the School of Drama and Fine Arts, Thrissur, Calicut University, in 1989, he joined the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune in 1992, where he earned his diploma in Film Editing. His first independent work as an editor was the FTII diploma film Veg or Non-Veg (1993), directed by Gurpal Singh.
Sukumaran was assistant editor from 1995–1999 for Renu Saluja. His first film, Diary of a Housewife, won the National Award in 2002 for the Best first film of a Director in non-fiction category.
He has achieved Mathrubhumi film award as best film editor for AKALE, a Malayalam feature film directed by Shyamaprasad in 2005 and best film editor award for the same film in the same year from Kerala state Film Critic Association.
Sukumaran has chaired or participated on judging panels of multiple film festivals and award shows, including Kerala State Film Award. [3] His first feature film was HARAM the Malayalam film acted by the Fahad Fasil and Radhika Apte in lead roles. [4] [5]

Malayalam cinema is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Malayalam language, which is widely spoken in the state of Kerala, India. In 1982, Elippathayam won the Sutherland Trophy at the London Film Festival, and Most Original Imaginative Film of 1982 by the British Film Institute. The film Marana Simhasanam has won the prestigious Caméra d'Or at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.
Edappal Ponnamkuzhi Veettil Parameswaran Sukumaran Nair, known mononymously as Sukumaran, was an Indian actor and producer of Malayalam films. Sukumaran became a popular film star in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. He was considered one of the superstar trios of Malayalam cinema during the late 1970s and early 1980s along with Soman and Jayan.

Jose Prakash was an Indian actor and singer who worked in Malayalam cinema. He was a singer turned actor who had appeared in more than 300 films mostly in antagonist roles. He was awarded with the J. C. Daniel Award in 2011, a day before he died aged 86. In a career spanning for around 40 years, he is known for portraying some of the iconic villain characters in the Malayalam film industry. Later, he switched to character roles in the mid 90s.
Agnisakshi is a 1999 Indian Malayalam-language spiritual film written and directed by Shyamaprasad, based on the novel of the same name by Lalithambika Antharjanam. Sukumar and Saji Samuel under the banner of Odd Impressions & Big Leaf. Satheesh Kurup was the cinematographer and Thaikkudam Bridge provided the music.
Sandeep Kurissery is an Indian film sound designer, sound editor and location sound recordist. He, along with Jiji P Joseph won the first ever award for location sound recording for the film Oraalppokkam in the 2014 Kerala State Film Awards. The duo won the award again in 2015 with Ozhivudivasathe Kali. Sandeep has worked with some of the leading filmmakers in South India like Girish Kasaravalli, Shaji N Karun, Vipin Vijay and Shyamaprasad.
