Virginia's 45th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 45 includes part of the city of Alexandria as well as parts of Arlington and Fairfax counties. The seat has been represented by Democrat Elizabeth Bennett-Parker since 2022.
District 45 consists of the eastern half of the city of Alexandria and parts of Arlington and Fairfax counties. [1] It is in Virginia's 8th Congressional District. [1]
Democrat Mark Levine won a five-way Democratic Primary in June 2015 [2] and was elected without opposition that fall. He was re-elected without opposition in 2017, receiving the highest vote total of any 2017 candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates. [1]
Levine ran for reelection unchallenged in the November 2019 general election and was elected to a third term. Levine lost renomination in 2021. [3]

Adam Paul Ebbin is an American politician who is the senator from the 30th District of the Virginia Senate since January 2012. A member of the Democratic Party, he was the Delegate from the 49th District of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2004 to 2012.

Mark H. Levine is an American politician and attorney who served as the Delegate from the 45th District of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2016 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, he simultaneously ran for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in the 2021 election and for reelection as a Delegate on June 8, 2021, but lost in the Democratic primaries to Hala Ayala and Elizabeth Bennett-Parker, respectively.

Nomination primaries held through the Department of Elections were held June 20, 2023. These will be the first elections held following redistricting as a result of the 2020 census.
