vivatel was a mobile operator in Bulgaria. It started operating in November 2005, receiving a GSM operator license in June 2004 and an UMTS license in May 2005. The 3G network was launched in April 2007. The company is owned by BTC JSC.

vivatel started in November 2005 with extended portfolio of mobile services for private and business clients, with low prices.

In November 2007, two years after its launch, vivatel has reached one million clients, which is around 10% market share. [1]

vivatel is a sponsor of many music-related events: the concerts of Rihanna, Pink, INXS and Vaya Con Dios in Bulgaria, music award shows and more. It also sponsors volleyball, ice-skating, streetball, snowboarding, electronic sports and sport events.

In May 2007 American International Group acquired 65% of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company and vivatel for €1.08 billion. [2]

On September 10, 2009 vivatel merged with the parent company BTC under the brand vivacom.

Meteor Mobile Communications Limited was a GSM and UMTS mobile telecommunications company in Ireland. They operated a GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS(HSPA+) and LTE cellular communications network under licence from the Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg), and were the third entrant in the market, after Vodafone Ireland and Three Ireland. The company was a wholly owned subsidiary of Irish telecoms network Eir, having been purchased for €420m in 2005. Meteor was the only Irish owned mobile operator in Ireland. Meteor once issued new numbers with the prefix code 085. Since the introduction of full mobile number portability in Ireland, access codes have become less relevant as mobile telephone users may now retain their mobile telephone numbers when moving between mobile network operators. As a result, Meteor customers could have numbers starting with the codes 083, 085, 086, 087, or 089.

A1 Bulgaria, is a GSM mobile phone operator in Bulgaria.

Yettel Bulgaria is the largest mobile network and the third largest fixed telecommunications company in Bulgaria. The company was founded under the name "Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile" in 2001 by OTE and operated under the brand name "Globul" until 2014. In 2013 it was bought by Telenor and changed its name. In August 2018, the company was acquired by PPF, a Czech private investment fund. The company continued to use the Telenor brand until 1 March 2022, when it was renamed to Yettel Bulgaria.

bwin Interactive Entertainment AG, formerly betandwin, is an Austrian online betting brand acquired by Entain PLC. The group operated under international and regional licences in countries like Gibraltar, the Amerindian reserve of Kahnawake (Canada), and Belize; and Germany, Italy, Mexico, Croatia, Austria, France, and the United Kingdom in Europe. One Telecommunications is a telecommunications company that operates in Albania, previously as Albanian Mobile Communications (AMC), and as Telekom Albania. AMC was part of the COSMOTE Group from 2000, and in 2008 joined the Deutsche Telekom group.
