Walter Thomas West (born May 14, 1943) [1] was a Major General in the U.S. Air Force. His last post was to serve as the Commander of the 19th Air Force, Air Education and Training Command at Randolph Air Force Base in Texas.

Prior to that position he served Deputy Director for operations for the U.S. Pacific Command, and as Commander of the 57th Fighter Weapons Wing at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. [2]

British Pacific Fleet Military unit

The British Pacific Fleet (BPF) was a Royal Navy formation that saw action against Japan during the Second World War. The fleet was composed of empire naval vessels. The BPF formally came into being on 22 November 1944 from the remaining ships of the former Eastern Fleet then being re-named the East Indies Fleet and continuing to be based in Trincomalee. The British Pacific Fleet's main base was at Sydney, Australia, with a forward base at Manus Island in northern Papua New Guinea. One of the largest fleets ever assembled by the Royal Navy, by Victory over Japan Day it consisted of over two hundred ships and submarines and more than 750 aircraft; including four battleships and six fleet aircraft carriers, fifteen smaller aircraft carriers, eleven cruisers and numerous smaller warships, submarines, and support vessels. The fleet took part in the Battle of Okinawa and the final naval strikes on Japan.

Michael Edward Ryan is a retired United States Air Force general and was the 16th Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force from October 1997 to September 2001. Mark Howard Buzby is a retired United States Navy rear admiral who served as the Administrator of the United States Maritime Administration. He retired from the Navy in 2013 and joined Carnival Cruise Line's Safety & Reliability Review Board. Peter Alan Thomas is a former American football quarterback and current coach who is currently the quarterbacks coach at the University of Louisville. He was a three-year starter at Valhalla High School in El Cajon, California and earned various All-State honors. He began his college football career at Colorado State, where he was the team's primary starter from 2010 to 2011. William J. Walker United States Army major general

Jacqueline Desiree Van Ovost is a United States Air Force general who has served as the 14th commander of the United States Transportation Command since October 15, 2021. She was nominated to that post by President Biden on March 5, 2021. Van Ovost had previously served as the commander of the Air Mobility Command since August 2020. In early 2021, she was the only active-duty female four-star general officer in the United States.

Anthony J. Cotton U.S. Air Force general

Anthony James Cotton is a United States Air Force four-star general who has served as the commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command since August 27, 2021. He most recently served as the deputy commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command. Prior to that, he was the president of the Air University. In June 2021, he was nominated and in July confirmed for promotion to general and assignment as the next commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command, succeeding Timothy Ray.
