Dofus is a tactical turn-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Ankama Games, a French video game manufacturer. Originally released only in French, it has since been translated into many other languages. The game includes both pay-to-play accounts offering the full experience and free-to-play accounts offering a more limited amount of content. Its success has led to the marketing of spin-off products, such as books, art, comics and a movie released in 2016. It has also led to the development of two continuations: Dofus Arena, released at the beginning of 2006, which is an alternative "tournament" version of Dofus; and Wakfu, a sequel to Dofus. The game has attracted over 40 million players worldwide and is especially well known in France.
Birdy the Mighty is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Yuki. His initial attempt with the story ran in Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday Zōkan from 1985 to 1988, but it was eventually abandoned. Over a decade later, Yuki began a reboot, which was serialized in Weekly Young Sunday (2002–2008) and Weekly Big Comic Spirits (2008); its chapters were collected in 20 tankōbon volumes. A sequel, titled Birdy the Mighty: Evolution, was serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits from 2008 to 2012, with its chapters collected in 13 tankōbon volumes.
Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, known as simply Tenchi Muyo! in North America, is a collection of Japanese OVAs created by Masaki Kajishima and animated by AIC. Initially released in 1992, it marked the beginning of the Tenchi Muyo! franchise, composed of several manga, OVAs, TV series, and other related media. The first two OVA series were later licensed and distributed in North America by Pioneer Entertainment, with Funimation taking over the rights for the third series, and later taking over the rights for the first two OVAs. In 2020, Crunchyroll acquired worldwide streaming rights for the fourth and fifth seasons of the OVA.
Ai no Kusabi is a Japanese novel written by Rieko Yoshihara. Originally serialized in the yaoi magazine Shōsetsu June between December 1986 and October 1987, the story was collected into a hardbound novel that was released in Japan in 1990, and eventually expanded on and released in 6 paperback volumes.
Battle Angel, known in Japan as Gunnm, is a 1993 original video animation (OVA) based on the Battle Angel Alita manga series by Yukito Kishiro. It is directed by Hiroshi Fukutomi, and jointly produced by KSS Inc., Movic, Animate and Madhouse. The OVA comprises two episodes, Rusty Angel and Tears Sign, corresponding respectively to volumes 1 and 2 of the manga with some differences, serving as a compressed preview for the manga.
My Bride Is a Mermaid is a Japanese manga series written by Tahiko Kimura. The manga was serialized in Square Enix's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Gangan Wing from 2002 to 2008 and in Monthly Gangan Joker in 2010. In 2004, a drama CD based on the series was released by Frontier Works. The series tells a story of a young mermaid who saves a young boy named Nagasumi Michisio from drowning. To avoid death, Nagasumi chooses the option to marry her.
Read or Die is an OVA based on the manga of the same name by Hideyuki Kurata. It was released by Studio Deen from 2001 to 2002 and distributed outside Japan by Manga Entertainment in 2003. The series, directed by Koji Masunari, features the main characters of the original manga such as Yomiko Readman and Joker. It is a continuation of the manga storyline, taking place a few years after the events of the manga.

Wakfu is a tactical turn-based MMORPG developed by Ankama Games and released for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux on 29 February 2012. The game takes place 1,000 years after Ankama's previous game, Dofus.
Master of Martial Hearts, originally titled Zettai Shougeki: Platonic Heart, is a 2008–2009 Japanese original video animation series created by Studio Kikan and Shochiku. It concerns a high school girl who gets involved in a series of fights against other young women with the Martial Heart as the prize; a jewel that can grant any wish. On January 7, 2010, Funimation Entertainment announced that they had licensed the OVA series in English. The series was released in North America on August 10, 2010.

It was later published by the Japanese publisher Euromanga and Asukashinsha in 2015, making it the first manfra to be published in Japan. The series has been licensed by Viz Media in English since 2018 and has 17 volumes released. The series received an anime television series adaptation by Lerche that aired on NHK Educational TV from October 2018 to February 2019, followed by a second season aired from October 2019 to February 2020.

Chained Soldier, known in Japan as Mato Seihei no Slave, is a Japanese manga series written by Takahiro and illustrated by Yohei Takemura. It has been serialized on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ online platform since January 2019. The series follows a young man named Yuuki Wakura, who watches as destructive monsters from the Mato dimension threaten the Earth, while women gifted with special superpowers try to stop them as Yuuki begins to join forces with Chief Kyouka Uzen as her servant both on the battlefield and at home.
