Walter John Edwards AM (born 23 December 1949) is a former Australian cricketer who played in three Test matches and one One Day International in 1974 and 1975.
He has maintained his links with Australian cricket since retirement,being the vice-president of the Western Australian Cricket Association since 2000 (receiving life membership in 2002) as well as being on the board of Cricket Australia for the past 11 years. [1] He was elected chairman of Cricket Australia in 2011 serving until his resignation in 2015. He was replaced as chairman by David Peever.
Outside of cricket Edwards owns Holman Industries a company that manufactures irrigation products. [2] [3]

He was spotted in the nets by Brian Lara and was called up for his Test debut against Sri Lanka after just one match for Barbados. Edwards was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup.

Thomas William Graveney was an English first-class cricketer,representing his country in 79 Test matches and scoring over 4,800 runs. In a career lasting from 1948 to 1972,he became the 15th player to score one hundred first-class centuries;he was the first batsman beginning his career after the Second World War to reach this milestone. Ian James Gould is an English former first-class cricketer and a former member of the ICC Elite Panel of cricket umpires. He previously also served as the chairman of English football club Burnham FC. In April 2019,Gould announced that he would retire as an umpire following the 2019 Cricket World Cup. On 6 July 2019,Gould retired from umpiring,after officiating in the World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka. However,he has since umpired in matches in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

The 1974–75 Ashes series consisted of six cricket Test matches,each match lasted five days with six hours of play each day and eight ball overs. It formed part of the MCC tour of Australia in 1974–75 and the matches outside the Tests were played in the name of the Marylebone Cricket Club. Ian Chappell's Australians won the series 4–1 and "brutally and unceremoniously wrenched the Ashes" from Mike Denness's England team. It was Australia's first series victory over England for ten years and the experience proved popular as 777,563 spectators came through the gates and paid nearly a million Australian dollars for the privilege. For the first time the first day of the Third Test at Melbourne was held on Boxing Day in an Ashes series,now a cricketing tradition.
