Tai Po District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. The suburban district covers the areas of Tai Po New Town,Lam Tsuen Valley and other surrounding area,and its exclave in the northern part of the Sai Kung Peninsula. The Tai Po proper and North Sai Kung,was divided by the Tolo Channel and Tolo Harbour. The District is located in the Eastern New Territories. The de facto administrative centre of the district is Tai Po New Town.
Nai Chung is a countryside and a village in northeastern New Territories,Hong Kong. It is located at the east of Ma On Shan,partly lying within the Ma On Shan Country Park. Nai Chung lies in a larger area collectively known as Shap Sze Heung.
The New Territories East geographical constituency was the one of the five geographical constituencies in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It was established in 1998 for the first SAR Legislative Council election and was abolished under the 2021 overhaul of the Hong Kong electoral system. It encompassed Sha Tin District,Tai Po District,North District and Sai Kung District. In the 2016 Legislative Council election,nine members of the Legislative Council using the Hare quota of party-list proportional representation with 1,139,616 electorates in 2020.
