Tai Po District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. The suburban district covers the areas of Tai Po New Town, Tai Po Tau, Tai Po Kau, Hong Lok Yuen, Ting Kok, Plover Cove, Lam Tsuen Valley, Tai Mei Tuk and other surrounding areas, and its exclaves Sai Kung North, in the northern part of the Sai Kung Peninsula and including islands such as Grass Island, and Ping Chau. Tai Po proper and Sai Kung North are divided by the Tolo Channel and the Tolo Harbour. The district is located in the Eastern New Territories. The de facto administrative centre of the district is Tai Po New Town.
Civil Force is a district-based pro-Beijing political party in Hong Kong. Since 2014, the Civil Force has entered an alliance with the New People's Party of Regina Ip. Headed by chairman Pun Kwok-shan, it had its stronghold in the Sha Tin and Sai Kung Districts and had once the majority of seats in the Sha Tin District Council until its total defeat in 2019.
The Hong Kong local elections are elections in Hong Kong for the members of District Councils. First held in 1982, the elections are held at 4-year intervals for returning a total of 452 elected members as at 2019. The last election was held on 24 November 2019.
City One Shatin is a residential precinct in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. The estate occupies approximately 1,800,000 square feet of land. The estate was named City One as it is on Lot 1, Shatin Town. It has a census area population of 24,758 people. City One is the largest private residential estate in Sha Tin District. There are a total of 52 blocks of residential buildings with 10,642 units. Each tower is about 30 storeys with units ranging from 389 square feet (36.1 m2) to an area of 1,018 square feet (94.6 m2), offering different floor plans.
The New Territories East geographical constituency was one of the five geographical constituencies in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It was established in 1998 for the first SAR Legislative Council election and was abolished under the 2021 overhaul of the Hong Kong electoral system. It encompassed Sha Tin District, Tai Po District, North District and Sai Kung District. In the 2016 Legislative Council election, nine members of the Legislative Council using the Hare quota of party-list proportional representation with 1,139,616 electorates in 2020.

Sun Chui Estate is a public housing estate in Tai Wai, New Territories, Hong Kong near Lung Hang Estate, Che Kung Temple and MTR Tai Wai station. It consists of eight residential buildings completed in 1983, 1984 and 1985 respectively.
The Neo Democrats was a pro-democracy, localist political group in Hong Kong composed mainly of former and disenchanted members of the Democratic Party New Territories East branch after the 2012 constitutional reform proposals. It had held one seat in the Legislative Council until Gary Fan lost his re-election in the 2016 Legislative Council election. Fan won the seat back in the 2018 by-election, but lost his seat after a court declared that he was not duly elected. It held 8 seats in the District Councils before its dissolution on 26 June 2021.
These are the New Territories East results of the 2012 Hong Kong legislative election. The election was held on 9 September 2012 and all 9 seats in New Territories East where consisted of North District, Tai Po District, Sai Kung District and Sha Tin District were contested. The pro-democracy camp strategically succeeded in holding six seats with only 56.9% of the votes. Raymond Chan Chi-chuen of the People Power and Gary Fan of Neo Democrats were elected for the first time. Former Civic Party legislator Fernando Cheung also returned to the LegCo representing the newly formed Labour Party.
Tin Sam Village or Tin Sam Tsuen, sometimes transliterated as Tin Sum, is a village in Tai Wai, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. It is located west of Sun Chui Estate, north of Lung Hang Estate, and southeast of Festival City. Part of Tin Sam Village consists of Tin Sam Wai (田心圍), a historic walled village.
Ting Tsz-yuen is a Hong Kong pro-democracy politician and a former member of the Sha Tin District Council for Kam Ying. A former Frontier and Democratic Party member, Ting is also a current convenor of the local political group Community Sha Tin and the deputy convenor of the Community Alliance. Mr Ting born in Hong Kong, and his ancestral hometown is Dongguan city( 東莞市）， Guangdong province.
