China Crisis are an English pop/rock band. They were formed in 1979 in Kirkby, near Liverpool, Merseyside with a core of vocalist/keyboardist Gary Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon. China Crisis were part of a wave of new Liverpool acts in the late 1970s and early 1980s, led by OMD and also including Echo and the Bunnymen, The Teardrop Explodes, A Flock of Seagulls and Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
Poi Dog Pondering is an American musical group, noted for its cross-pollination of diverse musical genres, including various forms of acoustic and electronic music. Founded in Hawaii in 1984 by Frank Orrall, initially as a solo project. In 1985 Orrall formed the first line-up of PDP to perform its first concert; at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The band then embarked on a yearlong Street Performance Busking tour across North America, eventually settling in Austin, Texas in 1987, where they recorded their first three albums. In 1992, the band relocated, this time to Chicago, Illinois, where they began to incorporate Orchestral arrangements & elements of Electronic, House Music and Soul music into their Acoustic Rock style. The membership of Poi Dog Pondering has changed from album to album.

One to One is the third album by British pop singer Howard Jones, released in October 1986. The CD release also contains the single version of "No One Is to Blame" with Phil Collins on drums and backing vocals. The album contained the hits "You Know I Love You...Don't You?" and "All I Want". The album reached number 10 in the UK and was certified Gold for shipments in excess of 100,000 copies.

This album is one of the few, if not the only album released by Ruthless Records that is not entirely hip hop based. The album was neither a commercial nor critical success, however the song, "Funky Flute", which featured Dr. Dre, gained some minor success.

Walking the Wire is an album released by American country music singer Dan Seals. It was his first for the Warner Brothers label. This album was a commercial failure. Three of its four singles charted, which were "Sweet Little Shoe", "Mason Dixon Line", and "When Love Comes Around the Bend". The B-side to "Mason Dixon Line", titled "Be My Angel", was later a non-album single for Lionel Cartwright, peaking at number 63 in late 1992. The other single, "We Are One" failed to chart.
