The Great Sacandaga Lake is a large lake situated in the Adirondack Park in northern New York in the United States. The lake has a surface area of about 41.7 square miles (108 km2) at capacity, and the length is about 29 miles (47 km). The word Sacandaga means "Land of the Waving Grass" in the local native language. The lake is located in the northern parts of Fulton County and Saratoga County near the southern border of the Adirondack Park. A small portion also extends northward into southern Hamilton County. The broader, south end of the lake is northeast of the City of Johnstown and the City of Gloversville. Great Sacandaga Lake is a reservoir created by damming the Sacandaga River. The primary purpose for the creation of the reservoir was to control flooding on the Hudson River and the Sacandaga River, floods which had a historically significant impact on the surrounding communities.
Neversink Reservoir is a reservoir in the New York City water supply system. It is located in the Catskill Mountain town of Neversink in Sullivan County, New York, 75 miles (120.6 km) northwest of the City.
Indian Lake is a 12-mile (19 km) long, 4,255-acre (1,722 ha) reservoir with a southwest to northeast orientation in the towns of Indian Lake and Lake Pleasant in Hamilton County, in the Adirondack Park of New York State, in the United States. The hamlet of Indian Lake is located 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the north end of Indian Lake. New York State Route 30 runs along the west shore of the lake. Most of the shore is part of the Forest Preserve. Indian Lake is fed by the Jessup River, and drains through the Indian River into Lake Abanakee, and from there through the Indian River to the Hudson River.
Star Lake is located by Star Lake, New York. Fish species present in the lake are largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, landlocked salmon, brown trout, white sucker, sunfish, rock bass, yellow perch, and black bullhead. There is carry-down launch access with permission from the Town of Fine, on route 3.

West Caroga Lake is located in the Town of Caroga by Caroga Lake, New York. The lake is known for excellent warm water fishing, but it also offers the only location to fish for splake in the county. The lake is connected to East Caroga Lake by a small channel. Origin of the name, "Caroga" is derived from the once nearby Indian Village known as "Caroga".
Stillwater Reservoir is a man-made lake located by Beaver River, New York within the Western Adirondacks. The lake has a large amount of recreational uses including camping, canoeing, boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. The lake has undeveloped edges with remote camping on both the islands and the shoreline. Camping permits and lake information may be obtained from the hamlet of Stillwater at the Forest Ranger Headquarters. Fish species present in the reservoir are smallmouth bass, splake, rock bass, yellow perch, sunfish and brown trout. There is a state owned hard surface ramp on Stillwater Road, 28 miles east of Lowville, New York. the record low temperature for the state of New York of −52 °F (−47 °C) took place at Stillwater Reservoir, and was later tied by Old Forge on February 17, 1979.
Witchhopple Lake is a lake located by Keepawa, New York. The outlet flows into Salmon Lake and then from there into Stillwater Reservoir. Fish species present in Witchhopple Lake are brook trout, white sucker, sunfish, yellow perch, and splake. Access by trail from the north shore of Stillwater Reservoir. No motors are allowed on Witchhopple Lake. There is a trail that goes from Witchhopple Lake to Negro Lake called Bushwhack Trail.
Salmon Lake is located west of Brandreth, New York. The outlet of the lake flows through an unnamed creek into Trout Pond. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, brown trout, sunfish, black bullhead, yellow perch, and lake trout. Access by hiking a trail from Trout Pond off Stillwater Reservoir. No motors are allowed on Salmon Lake.
Lake Rondaxe is a lake located northeast of Carter Station, New York. Fish species present in the lake are atlantic salmon, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, brook trout, yellow perch, and black bullhead. There is no public access.
Moss Lake also known as Whipple Lake is located northwest of Eagle Bay, New York. The outlet flows into North Branch Moose River. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, lake trout, atlantic salmon, brown trout, yellow perch, and black bullhead. There is trail access located off Big Moose Lake Road. There is no ice fishing allowed on Moss Lake.
Sylvia Lake is a lake located by Balmat, New York. Fish species present in the lake are largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, lake trout, rainbow trout, landlocked salmon, and black bullhead. There is a state owned beach launch on Route 812 between Fowler and Balmat.
Flat Rock Reservoir is located by Lower Oswegatchie, in St. Lawrence County, New York. Fish species present in the lake are largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, landlocked salmon, brown trout, white sucker, sunfish, rock bass, yellow perch, and black bullhead. There is a hard surface ramp launch access on county route 3.
Fourth Lake is a lake located by Eagle Bay, New York and Inlet, NY. Fourth Lake is part of the Fulton Chain Lakes. Fish species present in the lake are lake trout, atlantic salmon, landlocked salmon, white sucker, brook trout, rainbow trout, yellow perch, and brown trout. Hard surface ramp on Route 28, 10 miles east of Old Forge and there is a hand launch access on South Shore Road.
Lake Eaton is a lake located west of Long Lake, New York. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, lake trout, lake whitefish, smallmouth bass, landlocked salmon, brown trout, and rainbow trout. There is a state owned beach launch located in the campground on Route 30, 2 miles west of Long Lake.
Bug Lake is located east of Inlet, New York. The outlet creek flows into Seventh Lake. Fish species present in the lake are lake trout, kokanee salmon, brown trout, brook trout, and rainbow smelt. There is carry down access off trail on the southwest shore. All hikers must register at Eighth Lake Campground.
Seventh Lake is a lake located by Inlet, New York. It is part of the Fulton Chain Lakes. The outlet flows through a channel into Sixth Lake and the main inlet flows through a creek from Eighth Lake. Fish species present in the lake are brown trout, lake whitefish, lake trout, smelt, landlocked salmon, rainbow trout, white sucker, black bullhead, yellow perch, and pumpkinseed sunfish. There is a state owned hard surface ramp of NY-28, 3 miles east of Inlet with parking for 20 trucks and trailers.
Eighth Lake is a lake located by Inlet, New York. It is part of the Fulton Chain Lakes. The outlet is connected to Seventh Lake by a creek. Fish species present in the lake are brown trout, lake trout, lake whitefish, smelt, rainbow trout, black bullhead, landlocked salmon, and pumpkinseed sunfish. There is a state owned fee hard surface ramp at Eighth Lake Campground on NY-28.
Thirteenth Lake is located southwest of Christian Hill, New York. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, rainbow trout, brown trout, atlantic salmon, tiger trout, white sucker, and black bullhead. Access by carry down on the northeast shore. No motors are allowed on this lake.
Salmon River Reservoir, also known as the Redfield Reservoir, is a man-made lake located near the hamlet of Redfield, New York. The reservoir was created with the completion of a hydroelectric dam in 1912. It has the capacity to hold 56,000 acre-feet (69,000,000 m3) of water. It is the larger of the Salmon River's two reservoirs.
