Wayne Courtney Davis II (born August 22, 1991) is an American athlete, now representing Trinidad and Tobago, who specializes in the 110 metre hurdles. He currently holds the world youth record, world junior record and the US high school record [1] in the 39" 110 m hurdles with a time of 13.08 seconds. He is a graduate of Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Davis broke the World Youth 110 hurdles record (36") on July 12, 2007, at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Athletics in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Two years later, on July 31, 2009, he broke the World Junior 110 m hurdles record (39") at the 2009 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad beating the previous mark of 13.12 seconds set by 2004 Olympic gold medalist Liu Xiang in 2002. [2] He competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. [3]
Davis' parents are both natives of Trinidad and Tobago. On August 4, 2011, Davis officially transferred his eligibility to compete for Trinidad and Tobago. His sister Dannielle also competes internationally for Trinidad and Tobago. [4] As a member of the Trinidad and Tobago 2012 Olympic Team he finished sixth in his semi-final of the 110 metres hurdles.
Kerron Stephon Clement is a Trinidadian-born American track and field athlete who competes in the 400-meter hurdles and 400-meter sprint. He held the indoor world record in the 400-meter sprint, having broken Michael Johnson's mark in 2005.
Darrel Rondel Brown is a sprinter from Trinidad and Tobago who specializes in the 100 metres and the 200 metres.
Richard "Torpedo" Thompson is a sprinter from Trinidad and Tobago who specializes in the 100 metres. His personal best of 9.82 seconds, set in June 2014, was one of the top ten fastest of all time, and a national record. In the 200 meters, he has the fourth fastest time by a Trinidad and Tobago athlete.
Shamar Sands is a Bahamian track and field athlete who specialises in the 110 metres hurdles. He is the Bahamian national record holder in the event with 13.40 seconds. Sands is the cousin of triple jumper Leevan Sands and also has a degree in accounting.
Ryan Brathwaite is a track and field athlete from Barbados who won the gold medal in the 110 metres hurdles at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics in Berlin. In recognition of his achievements, on September 17, 2009 Brathwaite was given the honour of being an ambassador while formally receiving the title Ambassador His Excellency Ryan Brathwaite.
Jehue Gordon is a Trinidadian track and field athlete who specialises in the 400 metres hurdles. He turned professional on 24 June 2010, and signed a deal with Adidas in August 2010.

The men's 110 metres hurdles event at the 1952 Summer Olympic Games took place July 23 and July 24. Thirty athletes from 20 nations competed. The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The final was won by the American Harrison Dillard. Dillard's compatriots, Jack Davis and Arthur Barnard, took 2nd and 3rd place. It was the fourth of nine consecutive American victories, and the tenth overall gold medal for the United States in the 110 metres hurdles. It was also the second of four consecutive American podium sweeps, and the sixth overall sweep by the United States in the event.
Deon Kristofer Lendore was a Trinidad and Tobago sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and won medals at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships, World Athletics Championships and World Athletics Indoor Championships. Lendore died in a car collision in Texas, United States, on 10 January 2022.
