Jaheel Hyde (born 2 February 1997) is a Jamaican track and field athlete. He was the 2014 world junior champion in the 400 metres hurdles and the 2013 world youth champion in the 110 metres hurdles.
He won a gold medal in the 110 m hurdles at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Athletics in Donetsk, Ukraine, setting a new championship record for the event and coming .01 seconds shy of tying the World Youth Best held by Wilhem Belocian. In 2014, he won the gold medal in the 400 metres hurdles at the World Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon, then the 100 metres hurdles at the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, beating Belocian's World Youth Best with a time of 12.96 seconds. His parents, Lenworth Hyde and Angela Hussett, encouraged their children to participate in sport. His father was an international footballer for Jamaica for over ten years. His older brothers have also been involved in sport: Lenworth Jr. and Jamie both played football for Jamaica at age category level while Julian Hyde won international medals in equestrian sports. [6] Hyde has also played for the Jamaican football team and scored a hat-trick against Bermuda in an under-17s international match in 2012. [7] [8] In January 2024, Hyde attended open tryouts for USL Championship club Hartford Athletic and was selected to join the team for preseason training. [9]

John Bryan Bronson is an American 400-meter hurdler, who won the bronze medal at the 1997 World Championships in Athens. He also represented his country at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He won three consecutive titles at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships from 1996 to 1998.
Kirani James is a Grenadian professional sprinter who specializes in the 400 metres. He won the 400 m at the World Championships in 2011, and the 2012 London Olympics. In the 400 metres, James also won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, thus becoming the first man to earn the full set of three medals in the centennial history of the event. He is Grenada's first and only Olympic medalist. He holds the Grenadian national record in both the 200 metres and 400 metres.
Kaliese Spencer Carter is a Jamaican track and field athlete who specialises in the 400 metres hurdles. She won the bronze medal in the event at the 2012 London Olympics. Spencer was the Commonwealth Games champion in 2014 and a double silver medallist at the 2014 World Indoor Championships. She finished fourth at both the 2009 and 2011 World Championships in Athletics.
Dexter Lee is a Jamaican sprinter who specialises in the 100 and 200 metres. He became the first athlete to win back-to-back titles at World Junior Championships in Athletics when he won the 100 metres in 2008 and 2010.
Cornel Edwin Fredericks is a South African track and field athlete who competes in the 400 metres hurdles. His personal best for the event is 48.14 seconds.

Michelle "Shelly" Jenneke is an Australian hurdler and model. She won a silver medal for the 100 m hurdles at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics and the 100 m hurdles at the 2016 Australian Athletics Championships to qualify for the Rio Olympic Games. In 2012, she received worldwide media attention after her pre-race warm-up dance went viral on the internet and was featured in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
The 2013 Pan American Junior Championships was held at the Estadio Alfonso Galvis Duque in Medellín, Colombia, from 23 to 25 August. The competition was originally scheduled for 2–4 August in Lima, Peru. Lima was ruled out as the host and the dates were also amended in April, due to the clash with the 2013 World Games in Cali and its proximity to the 2013 World Championships in Athletics.
Asuka Antonio "Aska" Cambridge is a Jamaican-born Japanese track and field sprinter who competes in the 100 metres and 200 metres. His personal best of 10.03 in the 100m gives him Japan's 6th fastest time. He is a two-time East Asian Games gold medallist and a relay bronze medallist at the World Junior Championships in Athletics. His mother is Japanese and his father is Jamaican.
Julian Forte is a Jamaican track and field sprinter. His personal bests are 9.91 seconds for the 100 metres and 19.97 seconds for the 200 metres.
Janieve Russell is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes mainly in the 400 metres hurdles and the 400 metres sprint. She won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay in Tokyo 2021, where she also finished fourth in the 400m hurdles final in a personal best of 53.08 secs. She is a four-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, winning the 400m hurdles title in 2018 and 2022, and the 4 × 400 m relay in 2014 and 2018. She has also won two relay silvers at the World Championships and a relay gold at the World Indoor Championships.
Ali Khamis Abbas Ali Khamis is a Bahraini track and field athlete who competes mainly in the 400 metres sprint and 400 metres hurdles. His personal best for the flat event is 44.36 seconds, set in 2013, while his hurdles best is 49.55 seconds, set in 2014. He was the 2014 Asian Games champion in the hurdles and the runner-up in the sprint at the 2013 Asian Athletics Championships
The men's 110 metres hurdles event at the 2016 Summer Olympics took place between 15–16 August at the Olympic Stadium. Forty athletes from 27 nations competed. The event was won by Omar McLeod of Jamaica, the nation's first gold medal and second medal overall in the event. Orlando Ortega's silver was Spain's first medal in the men's high hurdles, while Dimitri Bascou's bronze was France's first medal in the event since 1976.
Omar McLeod is a Jamaican professional hurdler and sprinter competing in the 60 m hurdles and 110 m hurdles. In the latter event, he is the 2016 Olympic champion and 2017 World champion. He was NCAA indoor champion in the 60 m hurdles in 2014 and 2015 and outdoor champion in the 110 m hurdles in 2015; he turned professional after the 2015 collegiate season, forgoing his two remaining years of collegiate eligibility. His personal best in the 110 m hurdles ranks him equal 7th on the world all-time list.
Eseosa Fostine "Fausto" Desalu is an Italian sprinter who specialises in the 200 metres winning a silver medal in that event at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and a gold medal in the 4×100 m relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
David Omoregie is a Welsh track and field hurdler who competes in the 110 metres hurdles. He holds a personal best of 13.24 seconds for the event, fifth best among British hurdlers. He set world junior and European junior records in the 60 metres hurdles indoor. He won a bronze medal at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Athletics and won the 2015 European Athletics U23 Championships
Gianna Ursula Woodruff Washington is a Panamanian track and field athlete specializing in the 400 metres hurdles. She represented her country at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics improving her own South American record with a time of 54.22 seconds in the semi-finals to finish 7th in the final.
