The 1987 Lieyu massacre occurred on 7 March 1987 at Donggang Bay, Lieyu Island, Kinmen, Fujian, Republic of China (ROC). ROC military officially denied the massacre and defined it as an incident of "mistaken killings" (誤殺事件), hence named it the March 7 Incident (三七事件) or Donggang Incident (東崗事件). There may have been more than nineteen deaths, including several families of ethnic Chinese Vietnamese.

The Green line is a rapid transit line in Taichung as part of Taichung Metro. The line was briefly opened to the public on 16 November 2020, but closed on 22 November due to faulty couplers on the trains. The line officially re-entered service on 25 April 2021, becoming Taiwan's fifth rapid transit system in operation. Two extensions, one heading east to Dakeng and the other reaching south into Changhua, are also planned.

The Tuntex Tower is a skyscraper office building in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The height of building is 143 m (469 ft), with a floor area of 49,884.86 m2 (536,956.2 sq ft), and it comprises 38 floors above ground, as well as four basement levels. The tower was completed in 1990 and was designed by TMA Architects & Associates. The exterior glass façade of the building forms a pattern to represent the first letter "T" of the Tuntex Group.

Daan King Building, or Ta Ann King Building, is a skyscraper office building located in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. The height of the building is 151 m (495 ft), with a floor area of 56,850 m2 (611,900 sq ft), and it comprises 42 floors above ground, as well as four basement levels. The building was completed in 1994 and was one of the earliest skyscrapers in Taichung as well as the first building to reach more than 40 floors in the city. Daan King Building and Daan International Building located on the opposite side of the road are commonly known as Taichung Twin Towers, as the two buildings have almost the same appearance, however their completion dates are different by three years. As of January 2021, it is the 20th tallest building in Taichung.

Showtime Live Shulin is a shopping mall in Shulin District, New Taipei City, Taiwan that opened on May 26, 2018. With a total floor area of 37,612.16 m2 (404,853.9 sq ft), it is the first and largest shopping center in the district. The main core stores of the mall include Showtime Cinemas, Uniqlo, Nitori, Muji and various themed restaurants.

JMall is a shopping center located in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan that opened in 2011. In 2017, the mall closed for renovation and reopened on 15 June 2018 as a dining hub featuring a wide variety of eateries from fast food joints to other upscale venues. Main core stores in the mall include Tim Ho Wan, Formosa Chang, Yi Fang Tea and various themed restaurants.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 Kaohsiung building fire</span> Disaster in southwestern Taiwan

In the early morning hours of 14 October 2021, at 02:54 NST (UTC+8), a fire broke out in a 13 floor building at Fubei Road in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung, a city in southwestern Taiwan. At least 46 people were killed, and 41 others were injured. The fire was extinguished after about four and a half hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation, although piles of debris left around the building may have complicated rescue efforts and helped fuel the fire.

The 2021–22 T1 League regular season was the first regular season of T1 League. Participating teams included the Kaohsiung Aquas, the New Taipei CTBC DEA, the Taichung Wagor Suns, the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, the TaiwanBeer HeroBears, and the Taoyuan Leopards. Each team played against another six times, three at home and three on the road, respectively, leaded to 30 matches in total. The regular season started on November 27, 2021 and ended on May 20, 2022. The 2021–22 season opening game, matched by the Kaohsiung Aquas and the TaiwanBeer HeroBears, was played at University of Taipei Tianmu Campus Gymnasium.

The Taichung Dreamers Academy is a Taiwanese basketball team based in Taichung, Taiwan. The team is composed of amateur and student players. They competed in various basketball tournaments.

The 2022–23 New Taipei CTBC DEA season was the franchise's 2nd season, its second season in the T1 League, its 2nd in New Taipei City. The DEA are coached by Lee Yi-Hua in his second year as head coach. On September 5, 2022, the T1 League named Chang Shu-Jen, the general manager of the New Taipei CTBC DEA, as their new secretary general. And the DEA named Liu Chih-Wei, the general manager of the CTBC Brothers, as their new general manager.
