Wellington Bays will be a future parliamentary electorate in the next New Zealand general election. [1] It will replace the Rongotai electorate. [2] The electorate will be used from 2026 onwards. [3]

Population centres

The Wellington Bays electorate covers Wellington’s southern and eastern coastal suburbs from Ōwhiro Bay and Island Bay around Houghton Bay, Lyall Bay, Rongotai and Kilbirnie, across the Miramar Peninsula (Strathmore Park, Seatoun, Breaker Bay, Miramar) and back via Evans Bay to Hataitai, with parts of Roseneath, Berhampore and Newtown, plus the airport and the Chatham Islands.
