The West Asian Volleyball Association (WAVA) is one of five zonal associations of governance in volleyball within the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). It governs indoor volleyball and beach volleyball in West Asia. [2] WAVA consists of 12 national federation members which are full members with the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). All of them also represent the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of their respective countries and dependent territories, allowing them to participate in the Olympic Games. [3]

WAVA consists of the national volleyball federations of West Asia and run zonal championships including the West Asian Men's Volleyball Club Championship and West Asian Women's Volleyball Championship. It also promotes regional volleyball, supports the creation of national federations affiliated with FIVB, ensures compliance with FIVB regulations, plans annual activities, and reports competition results to the FIVB and confederations. [4]

The current president, Ali Ghanem Al-Kuwari, president of the Qatar Volleyball Association, was elected as WAVA's president for the 2024–2028 term in Doha, Qatar, in March 2024. [5] [6] [7] His election also secured him the position of vice-president within the continental governing body, AVC. [8]

The Philippines women's national under-23 volleyball team was the national volleyball team of the Philippines that represented the country in under-23 volleyball events. They were ranked 28 as of January 2017. Its highest achievement was in 2015 where it placed 7th. It was governed by Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas (LVPI) from 2015 until 2019.

Among these, 7 national federations represent the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of their respective countries and dependent territories, allowing them to participate in the Olympic Games.

The Oceania Zonal Volleyball Association (OZVA) is one of five zonal associations of governance in volleyball within the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). It governs indoor volleyball and beach volleyball in Oceania. OZVA consists of 20 national federation members which are full members with the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and 4 associate members. Among these, 17 national federations represent the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of their respective countries and dependent territories, allowing them to participate in the Olympic Games.

The Southeast Asian Volleyball Association (SAVA) is one of five zonal associations of governance in volleyball within the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). It governs indoor volleyball and beach volleyball in Southeast Asia. SAVA consists of 11 national federation members which are full members with the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). All of them also represent the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of their respective countries and dependent territories, allowing them to participate in the Olympic Games.

The AVC Men's Champions League, previously the AVC Cup Men's Club Tournament, and Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, is an annual continental club volleyball competition organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continental governing body. The competition was first contested in China 1999. It was not held in 2003 and 2020 due to 2002–2004 SARS outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic respectively.

The tournament took place in Surabaya, Indonesia from 23 to 30 July.
