Marsh Harbour is a major tourist attraction. The airport offers scheduled passenger flights to Nassau and several destinations in Florida as well as regional jet flights nonstop to three major U.S. hubs, Atlanta, Charlotte and Miami in the U.S. In 2007 a new runway was built to allow larger, regional jets to operate from Marsh Harbour. A new airport terminal opened on 27 May 2014.
Flamingo Air is a small airline in the Bahamas. Its base of operations is the Grand Bahama International Airport in Freeport. It also has offices in Marsh Harbour Abaco Airport, in Bimini International Airport, and in the Lynden Pindling International Airport, Nassau. It provides scheduled service to several islands, as well as Air Charter service to the Bahamas and south Florida. The airline is currently grounded after a number of incidents in recent years. The Bahamian authorities have said they will keep all the aircraft grounded until inspections of Flamingo Air's maintenance and investigation into their safety practices are completed.

Celebration Cruise Line was a small cruise line that operated two-day voyages out of Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island. The company was founded in late 2008, and began operations on March 9, 2009. The company moved the ship's operations from Port Everglades to the Port of Palm Beach in March 2010.
Florida Coastal Airlines (FCA) was an airline based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. It operated services between Florida and the Bahamas, Cuba, and Haiti.
Midet Aviation was a small US international airline certificated to fly between south Florida and West End on Grand Bahama Island by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), the now-defunct Federal agency that at the time tightly regulated almost all US commercial air transportation. Midet's fate was tied to the progress of tourist facilities on Grand Bahama Island, which prior to the 1950s were limited. An enormous resort was constructed at West End from nothing, but then abandoned, only partially complete, after one season, crimping Midet's prospects. Meanwhile, Mackey Airlines, which the CAB had also certificated to fly from South Florida to elsewhere in the Bahamas, did better. It made sense to fold subscale Midet into Mackey, which occurred in 1956.
