When I Live by the Garden and the Sea is an EP from the Portland, Oregon based, ambient musician Matthew Cooper, under the name Eluvium. The song "As I Drift Off" opened with an audio fragment from the 1989 film, The 'Burbs .

In February 2007, American webzine Somewhere Cold voted When I Live by the Garden and the Sea EP of the Year on their 2006 Somewhere Cold Awards Hall of Fame. [3]

Anna-Lynne Williams, better known by her stage name Lotte Kestner, is an American singer-songwriter based in Seattle, Washington. She started her musical career as vocalist for the indie rock band Trespassers William in 1997. She adopted the stage name Lotte Kestner in 2007 for solo recordings. She was also a member of the duo Ormonde.

Robin Guthrie Scottish musician and member of Cocteau Twins

Robin Andrew Guthrie is a Scottish musician, songwriter, composer, record producer and audio engineer, best known as the co-founder of the alternative rock band Cocteau Twins. Eluvium (musician)

Eluvium is the moniker of the American ambient recording artist Matthew Cooper, who currently resides in Portland, Oregon. Cooper, who was born in Tennessee and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, before relocating to the Northwest, is known for blending various genres of experimental music including electronic, minimalism and drone. His albums often feature artwork and photographs by Jeannie Paske.

Corinne Bailey Rae British singer and songwriter

Corinne Jacqueline Bailey Rae is a British singer and songwriter. She is best known for her 2006 single "Put Your Records On". Bailey Rae was named the number-one predicted breakthrough act of 2006 in an annual BBC poll of music critics, Sound of 2006. She released her debut album, Corinne Bailey Rae, in February 2006, and became the fourth female British act in history to have her first album debut at number one. In 2007, Bailey Rae was nominated for three Grammy Awards and three Brit Awards, and won two MOBO Awards. In 2008, she won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

Richard Swift (singer-songwriter)

Richard Swift was an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and short-film maker. He was the founder, owner, and recording engineer of National Freedom, a recording studio located in Oregon, and worked as producer, collaborator, muse and influencer for acts including The Shins, Damien Jurado, David Bazan, Foxygen, Jessie Baylin, Nathaniel Rateliff, Lucius, Lonnie Holley, The Mynabirds, Wake Owl, Laetitia Sadier of Stereolab, Gardens & Villa, Cayucas, Fleet Foxes and Guster. Lambent Material is the first album from Portland, Oregon ambient musician Matthew Cooper, under the name Eluvium. Emily Wahl plays clarinet on "There Wasn't Anything". All other instruments on the album played by Cooper.

The Antlers is an American indie rock band based in Brooklyn, New York. The band's songs are written and sung by Peter Silberman. Their music is performed by Silberman, Darby Cicci and Michael Lerner (drums). The band's instrumentation typically consists of vocals, electric guitar, keyboards/synths, drums and an array of other instruments including piano, horns, strings, and electronic elements. Temporary Residence Limited is a Brooklyn, New York-based record label. TRL was started in Louisville, Kentucky in 1996 by Jeremy DeVine, and initially concentrated on releasing music by Louisville-based bands. DeVine moved to Baltimore, Maryland in the late 1990s to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art, but dropped out to concentrate on running the label by the end of the decade. DeVine later moved operations to Brooklyn, New York.

The Brother Kite is an American alternative rock band, formed in Providence, Rhode Island in 2002. The band consists of Patrick Boutwell on guitar and lead vocals; Jon Downs on guitar and vocals; Andrea Downs on bass guitar; Mark Howard on guitar, keyboard, and vocals; and Matt Rozzero on drums and sampler.

Somewherecold Records American record label

Somewherecold Records is an American independent record label established in late 2004 by Jason T. Lamoreaux. The record company was founded in Lexington, Kentucky, but is currently headquartered in Shelbyville, Kentucky. It releases ambient, shoegaze, dream pop, slowcore, post-rock, space rock and drone music, with an international roster of artists spanning from the early 2000s to the present. Somewherecold Records has released music on vinyl records, compact discs, compact cassettes and digital audio formats, with global distribution through The Business.
