Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish author. Although a prolific writer of plays, travelogues, novels, and poems, he is best remembered for his literary fairy tales.

The Casino Theatre was a theatre located at Amaliegade 10 in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was built as an entertainment venue by Tivoli Gardens-founder Georg Carstensen but was converted into a theatre in 1848. It closed in 1937 and the building was demolished in 1960.
Provinsmesterskabsturneringen i Fodbold was a knockout association football competition contested annually between 1913 and 1931, organised by the Danish FA (DBU), which determined the championship of the provinces. Throughout the competition's existence, the five regional football championship clubs from Bornholm FA (BBU), Funen FA (FBU), Jutland FA (JBU), Lolland-Falster FA (LFBU) and Zealand FA (SBU) participated after the end of normal league season, except for the years 1916–1920 and 1931. Until 1927, the cup tournament was part of the Danish Championship play-off, Landspokalturneringen, and was held prior to the Danish National Championship semifinal or final. Beginning from the 1928-season, the regional championship became a separate tournament held alongside the Danish Championship, but still organised by the Danish FA, now under the official name of Provinsmesterskabsturneringen. The 1915 edition was not played due to the limitations imposed as a consequence of World War I. The tournament was abolished after the 1931 edition, where the Jutland FA representative, Esbjerg fB, withdrew from the competition due to lack of time in its schedule.
Nyhavn 67 is a listed property overlooking the Nyhavn Canal in central Copenhagen, Denmark. The writer Hans Christian Andersen lived in the building as a lodger with only short interruptions from 1848 to 1865.
Gerda Amalie Holst Christophersen (1870–1947) was a Danish stage and film actress, singer, theatre director and writer. From 1911, she starred in numerous early Danish films, including 15 from Nordisk Film.
Kirsten Olesen is a Danish actress who since 1979 has been with Copenhagen's Royal Danish Theatre. In Denmark, she is known above all for taking the part of Agnes, a housemaid, in the popular television series Matador (1978–1982). Internationally, she has starred in the title role of Lars von Trier's Medea (1988).
The 1963–64 Danish Cup was the 10th installment of the Danish Cup, the national association football cup competition in Denmark. This year's edition began with the regional qualifying rounds among the lower ranking members of the six regional governing bodies in early May 1963, and concluded with the grand cup final on 7 May 1964. A total of 707 clubs participated in the cup tournament – the highest number of teams since the cup's foundation. 671 teams were registered for the qualifying rounds, of which only 44 teams would quality for the proper rounds, under the auspices of the Danish FA's tournament committee, joined by 36 additional teams from the first, second and third divisions in the Danish football league system.
Nybrogade 26 is a property overlooking Slotsholmen Canal in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It consists of a seven-bays-wide, four-storey residential building towards the canal and a former brewery building from the beginning of the 19th century at Magstræde 13 on the other side of the block. The entire complex was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918. Notable former residents include the army officer and engineer Ernst Peymann (1737-1823). theologian Peter Rørdam (1806-1883) and mathematician and politician Adolph Steen (1816-1886).
Rosenborggade 7–9 is a complex of mid-19th-century buildings situated at the corner of Rosenborggade and Tornebuskegade, close to Nørreport station, in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. It consists of a large corner building, an adjacent building in Rosenborggade and a warehouse in the courtyard. The entire complex was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1975. A plaque on the facade of No. 7 commemorates that the philosopher Søren Kierkegaard resided in the building from 1848 to 1850 and that he wrote The Sickness unto Death and Practice in Christianity while he lived there. Other notable former residents include the actors Ludvig and Louise Phister who lived in the apartment on the second floor of No. 7 from 1859 until their deaths in 1896 and 1916.
Louise Rudolfine Sahlgreen was a Danish operatic soprano. She was engaged by the Royal Danish Theatre in 1836, first as a member of the chorus but from 1842 as an opera singer. As a result of her plain looks, she did not reach prima donna status but nevertheless had a powerful soprano voice which extended to contralto, allowing her to perform a wide variety of roles. She was particularly successful as a soloist in the theatre's passion concerts in the Church of Our Lady where she sang every year from 1851 to 1869.
Vodroffsvej 10 is one of several surviving 19th-century villas situated on the west side of St. Jørgen's Lake in the Frederiksberg district of central Copenhagen, Denmark. Built in 1865, it was one of three villas constructed in the area by master mason and architect Jørgen Wilhelm Frohne (1832-1909) for family members of the owner of nearby Vodroggsgård. An atelier in the garden was constructed in 1882 for the painter Laurits Tuxen, brother-in-law of the next owner and also a resident of the building. Other artists to have used the atelier include Julius Schultz, Hans Gyde Petersen and Daniel Hvidt. The house and atelier were both listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1980. The neighboring villa at No. 8 was also constructed by Frohne and is also heritage listed. Bonnie Mürsch — a lawyer whose father purchased the house in 1940 and is herself still living in one of its three apartments — published a book about it in conjunction with its 150th anniversary in 2015.
