The White Hill Wind Farm is a wind farm in New Zealand operated by Meridian Energy. It was officially opened in 2007. [1]
It is located six kilometres south-east of Mossburn in the Southland Region of the South Island. The wind farm covers approximately 24 square kilometers of mainly forestry land.
Genesis Energy Limited, formerly Genesis Power Limited is a New Zealand publicly listed electricity generation and electricity, natural gas and LPG retailing company. It was formed as part of the 1998–99 reform of the New Zealand electricity sector, taking its generation capacity from the breakup of the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand (ECNZ) and taking retail customers from three local power boards in the Lower North Island. The New Zealand Government owns a 51% share of the company.

Te Āpiti is a wind farm owned and operated by Meridian Energy. It is located on 11.5 km² of land north of the Manawatū Gorge in the North Island of New Zealand. At 90.75 MW, it was New Zealand's largest capacity wind farm until September 2007, when the third stage of the nearby Tararua Wind Farm was completed.
Wattle Point Wind Farm is a wind farm near Edithburgh on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, which has been operating since April 2005. When it was officially opened in June of that year it was Australia's largest wind farm at 91 megawatts (122,000 hp). The installation consists of 55 wind turbines covering 17.5 square kilometres (6.8 sq mi)and was built at a cost of 180 million Australian dollars. It is connected to ETSA Utilities electricity transmission system via a 132 kilovolt line.
The Makara Guardians Inc. is an incorporated society formed in 1997 to coordinate opposition to proposals to build wind turbines near where the members live. Mākara is a rural locality 10 km west of Wellington, New Zealand. The Makara Guardians represents some 85% of the families in the Mākara Valley, and consists of around 160 members. Membership is restricted to residents or owners of land in Mākara who support the objectives of the Society and who are aged over 18.
The Mount Millar Wind Farm is situated on an escarpment between the towns of Cowell and Cleve on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The 35 wind turbines are positioned on the elongated Mount Millar site to maximise wind exposure. The wind farm can generate up to 70 megawatts (MW) of electricity and provide enough energy to meet the needs of about 36,000 typical households.

The Mount Mercer Wind Farm is located at Mount Mercer approximately 30 kilometres south of Ballarat in Western Victoria on 2600ha. The wind farm consists of 64 REpower MM92 wind turbines, giving a total installed capacity of 131 MW. It is expected to generate approximately 395,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity each year which could power approximately 74,000 households and result in a reduction of some 510,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

Te Uku Wind Farm is a wind farm located at Te Uku near Raglan. It has a capacity of 64 MW using 28 wind turbines. Construction was completed in March 2011, at a cost of $200 million. The farm covers an area of approximately 200 hectares (2.0 km2). The wind farm is jointly owned by WEL Networks and Meridian Energy.
The Harapaki Wind Farm is a wind farm project in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. Construction began in June 2021 and was completed in 2024.
The Puketiro Wind Farm was a renewable energy project proposed for land owned by the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) in the Puketiro Forest near Pauatahanui, north of Wellington, New Zealand. However, the project did not subsequently proceed.
Project Huriwaka is a proposed wind farm located on the Hihitahi Plateau between Waiouru and Taihape, New Zealand. The project was originally developed and consented by Meridian Energy, but the consents were allowed to lapse. In May 2023 the rights to develop the project were acquired by Manawa Energy.
The Macarthur Wind Farm is a wind farm located in Macarthur, Victoria, Australia, near Hamilton, 260 km west of Melbourne. It is on a 5,500 ha site which has an installed capacity of 420 megawatts (MW). Based on a capacity factor of around 35%, it is estimated that the long-term average generation will be approximately 1,250 GWh per year. Its actual capacity factor is much lower, with a historical average of 24.50% since 2013.
Project Hurunui is a proposed wind farm located between Omihi and Greta Valley in north Canterbury, New Zealand. Meridian Energy is developing the wind farm, which is planned to produce up to 75.9 MW from 2014.
The Flat Hill Wind Farm is a wind farm in New Zealand constructed by Pioneer Energy. It is located three kilometres (1.9 mi) west of Bluff in the Southland Region of the South Island. It stands at an altitude of 100 metres (330 ft) on the hill that gives it its name.
