Will Putney is an American record producer and metal musician perhaps best known for co-founding the deathcore band Fit for an Autopsy. [1] [2]

Early life

Putney grew up in Sayreville, New Jersey. He began playing guitar as a teenager and formed his first band when he was 15. [3] He studied biomedical engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology. [4]

Putney has produced albums for dozens of notable acts and bands, including Knocked Loose, Norma Jean, Body Count, The Acacia Strain, Thy Art is Murder, Suicide Silence, and Northlane. [7] [8] [9] [10] His studio, Graphic Nature Audio, is located in Kinnelon, New Jersey. [4] In an interview with Metal Hammer , Body Count frontman Ice-T described Putney as "the Dr. Dre of metal." [11]
