Structures (stylized as STRUC/TURES) is a Canadian metalcore band from Toronto, formed in 2009. Their current line-up consists of guitarists Spyros Georgiou and Brendon Padjasek, who also performs vocals, and drummer Andrew McEnaney. They have released two studio albums: Divided By (2011) and Life Through a Window (2014).
The band was formed in early 2009 after vocalist Nick Xourafas, guitarist Spyros Georgiou and bassist Spencer MacLean, who previously played in a band called Charity's, met guitarist Brendon Padjasek and drummer Andrew McEnaney, both in other bands from Toronto and founded the band Structures with them. On April 6, 2010, the band released their debut EP All of the Above, which they had produced themselves and distributed independently. [1] In October they then went on tour across Canada with bands such as Abandon All Ships, Woe, Is Me, and Liferuiner. They performed their EP tracks "Encounter" and "In Pursuit Of". [2]
During a tour of North America in June 2011, Structures announced they had been signed onto Sumerian Records and planned to release a debut album. [3] On October 4, their debut single "Hydroplaning" was released, it was later included on their debut album. On October 25, the band's debut studio album Divided By was released as planned via Sumerian Records. It was produced by Will Putney at the Machine Shop recording studio. [4] On 12 November, the album peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Heatseekers charts. [5] Between April and May 2012, the band played with Veil of Maya, Betraying the Martyrs and Vildhjarta on their first tour of Europe. [6] In November, the band played in Europe again next to Parkway Drive, Emmure and The Word Alive. In May 2013, the band played another tour of Canada with Texas in July, Northlane and Intervals. In late-May, while preparing for the then upcoming Australian and New Zealand tour, vocalist Nick Xourafas was unable to attend due to issues with his passport. The band's tour manager Alex Lidstone temporarily assumed vocalist duties for the tour. [7]
In March 2014, a month before releasing their new single "The Worst of Both Worlds" featuring guest vocals by Drew York from Stray from the Path, the band parted ways with vocalist Nick Xourafas due to personal issues, bassist Spencer MacLean later followed. Guitarist Brendon Padjasek then took over vocalist duties as well as continuing to play guitar. [8] [9] [10] On April 15, the band released their second single "Extinction". A music video for their track "Earth Gazing" was released on June 19. [11] Their sophomore studio album, Life Through a Window , was released on May 12. Like their first album, it was also produced by Will Putney at the Machine Shop recording studio. [12] On May 31, the album peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200's Hard Rock albums, and also peaked at No. 9 on the Heatseekers charts. [5] On July 7, while on their Allstars Tour, the band were denied entrance into the US due to unforeseen issues. [13] On July 12, the band tweeted an apology stating that they would be unable to attend. [14]
On October 18, Structures issued a statement via their Facebook that they were going on an indefinite hiatus after performing a Farewell Tour in December. They also announced that founding vocalist Nick Xourafas would return to perform one last tour with the band. The possibility of a reunion was not ruled out. [15] After two years of rumors, Structures released a teaser for a planned collaboration with Volumes in February 2015, however there had been no update since. [16] However in June 2016, Volumes confirmed that the project was effectively dead calling it "a fun idea, but [they were] all onto other things at [that] point." [17]
During their indefinite hiatus, former drummer Andrew McEnaney begun focusing more on his electronic side-project, Sex Tape, he also joined Will Putney's band, END. McEnaney left END in March 2020 and was replaced by Billy Rymer. [18] In 2018, former guitarist and temporary lead vocalist Brendon Padjasek joined Australian metalcore band Northlane, replacing their former bassist Alex Milovic and also performing backing vocals. [19] Padjasek left Northlane in March 2021. [20]
On June 4, 2021, Structures posted a band photo with the caption "June 9, 2021", leading to speculation of a reunion announcement. [21] On the aforementioned date of June 9, the band confirmed they had reunited and released a new song titled "Planet of Garbage". [22] The following day, the band announced a new EP titled None of the Above, which released on July 9. [23] The six-track EP features additional vocals from Brendan Murphy of Counterparts on the track "6" and Michael Barr of Volumes on the track "Civilian". [24]
On December 3, 2021, the band released the instrumental editions of Divided By and Life Through a Window. [25]

Betraying the Martyrs are a French metalcore band formed in Paris in 2008. The band currently consists of vocalist Rui Martins, guitarists Steeves Hostin and Baptiste Vigier, bassist Valentin Hauser, drummer Boris le Gal, and keyboardist Victor Guillet. They are currently signed to Out of Line Music. Through their previous label, Sumerian Records, Betraying the Martyrs have released four studio albums: Breathe in Life (2011), Phantom (2014), The Resilient (2017), and Rapture (2019). They've also released two EPs: The Hurt the Divine the Light (2009) and Silver Lining (2022).
Northlane are an Australian heavy metal band from Blacktown, formed in 2009. The band comprises guitarists Jon Deiley and Josh Smith, drummer Nic Pettersen and vocalist Marcus Bridge. Northlane have released six studio albums: Discoveries ; Singularity, which reached No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart; Node, a number-one album; Mesmer, Alien and Obsidian. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2015 the group won the Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album category for their album Node. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2017, the band won again with Mesmer. The group currently consists of lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O'Connor, vocalist Will Ramos, and bassist Michael Yager. The band is most known for their 2021 single "To the Hellfire". They have released four studio albums Psalms (2015), Flesh Coffin (2017), Immortal (2020), and Pain Remains (2022). The band has also released four EPs. Since 2017, no original members remain in the band.
In Hearts Wake are an Australian metalcore band from Byron Bay, formed in 2006. The band comprises vocalist Jake Taylor, guitarists Eaven Dall and Ben Nairne, bassist Kyle Erich, and drummer Conor Ward. They have released five studio albums: Divination, Earthwalker, Skydancer, Ark and Kaliyuga, which was released on 7 August 2020. The band's lyrical themes include environmentalism, environmental justice, global warming, conservation, and other social issues.
Erra is an American progressive metalcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 2009. The band was named after the homonymous Akkadian god of war and plague. The band has released five studio albums and three EPs to date. Their latest album, titled Erra, was released on March 19, 2021. They have toured with bands such as As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, TesseracT, Born of Osiris, Ice Nine Kills, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins and Texas in July.
Volumes is an American progressive metalcore band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. The group currently consists of bassist Raad Soudani, vocalists Michael Barr and Myke Terry, and drummer Nick Ursich. Throughout the band's history, bassist Raad Soudani has remained the only constant member. They are currently signed to Fearless Records and have released four studio albums: Via (2011), No Sleep (2014), Different Animals (2017) and Happier? (2021). They've also released three EPs: The Concept of Dreaming (2010), Coming Clean (2019) and Bend(ed) (2022).
Invent Animate is an American progressive metalcore band from Port Neches, Texas. The band formed in late 2011 and self-released their debut EP titled Waves on March 13, 2012. After a number of regional tours and increasing popularity in the online djent community, the band was signed up by Tragic Hero Records in February 2014. The band announced they would release their debut full-length record titled Everchanger on August 26, 2014. Their sophomore album Stillworld was released on July 8, 2016. Their third album and first with Marcus Vik, Greyview, was released on March 13, 2020.

Bad Omens is an American rock band from Richmond, Virginia formed in 2015 by vocalist, frontman and producer Noah Sebastian, guitarist Nicholas Ruffilo, and bassist Vincent Riquier. The band was later joined by guitarist Joakim "Jolly" Karlsson and drummer Nick Folio, releasing their critically acclaimed debut self-titled album in 2016 under Sumerian Records. Their second full-length album, Finding God Before God Finds Me, was released in 2019. A deluxe edition was released in 2020, spawning singles "Limits" and "Never Know", which both charted on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
Void of Vision are an Australian metalcore band from Melbourne, formed in 2013. The band consists of guitarists James McKendrick and Mitch Fairlie, drummer George Murphy, and vocalist Jack Bergin. Void of Vision have released two studio albums: Children of Chrome (2016) and Hyperdaze (2019).

Life Through a Window is the second studio album by Canadian metalcore band Structures released on May 13, 2014 by Sumerian Records. It was produced by Will Putney and Randy Leboeuf, and recorded at the Machine Shop in Belleville from September to October 2013. It was the last album produced before the band's indefinite hiatus.

It was self-produced by the band themselves and recorded at Chris Blancato's Studio in Sydney.
