Winter Park Village is an outdoor shopping center in Winter Park, Florida, United States featuring many shops, restaurants, and a 20-screen Regal Cinemas. The center opened in 1999 on the site of the former Winter Park Mall. [1]
The site was originally home to Winter Park Mall, which was Greater Orlando's first enclosed shopping mall. [2] The mall opened in 1964 and had Ivey's and JCPenney as the original anchor stores. [3] At the time, the JCPenney store was the second-largest in the nation. [4] A large section of the mall burned on Easter morning, April 6, 1969, in "the first major fire incident in the United States involving an enclosed shopping mall," [5] and was rebuilt.
Ivey's was sold to Dillard's in 1990. Over the years, the mall lost popularity, as many shoppers preferred the Park Avenue, Winter Park's upscale shopping district, or newer malls in the area. JCPenney moved to Orlando Fashion Square in 1993 leaving Dillard's as the only anchor store. At the time, developers had begun seeking replacements for the JCPenney store, with prospective replacements including Belk and Parisian. [2] After this, the mall’s owners entered into a joint venture between Don M. Casto Organization and the Nikitine family for redevelopment. [6] The mall was razed in 1998 [3] except for the Dillard's store. [7] However, Dillard's did not renew its lease in 1999, [8] and the store was redeveloped. [4]
Winter Park Village was officially dedicated on November 15, 1999, but some stores and restaurants such as Borders and P. F. Chang's China Bistro opened as early as March. The empty Dillard's building was divided into smaller spaces to house The Cheesecake Factory and Guitar Center on the lower level and 58 loft apartments on the upper level. The new center also included a new Albertsons supermarket and a Regal Cinemas. Albertsons closed in 2008 and was replaced with Publix. Borders closed in 2011 after the company decided to close all stores, and the building was demolished and replaced with two smaller buildings housing Chase and Starbucks. Chamberlins Market & Cafe—which was one of the only stores that remained from the Winter Park Mall—closed in 2016 with REI taking its place in 2017.
In 2024, a new Arhaus would be opening its doors at the mall.
Mall of Georgia is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall located in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Georgia, near the city of Buford, 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Atlanta. Opened in 1999, it is currently the largest shopping mall in the state of Georgia, consisting of 188 stores on three levels. Featured in the mall is a large village section, comprising lifestyle tenants and restaurants in an outdoor setting, as well as a 500-seat amphitheater. In 2017 the Mall of Georgia renovated the indoor food court area by updating the seating arrangements, furniture styles, and color schemes. Mall of Georgia was built by and is still owned by Simon Property Group. A portion of the Ivy Creek Greenway runs along the shopping mall area. The mall features the traditional retailers JCPenney, Belk, Dick's Sporting Goods, Macy's, Dillard's, and Von Maur, in addition to a 20-screen Regal Cinemas which also features IMAX. The anchor stores are Von Maur, Macy's, Dillard's, Belk, JCPenney, Havertys Furniture, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Regal Cinemas.
The Florida Mall is a super regional enclosed shopping mall located south of Orlando in unincorporated Orange County, Florida, United States, on the southeast corner of Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Road; it opened in 1986. The mall features JCPenney, Dillard's, Macy's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Sears, in addition to the Crayola Experience.

Four Seasons Town Centre is a three-story shopping mall in Greensboro, North Carolina. Opened in 1974, it was the first enclosed shopping center in Greensboro. Currently it is anchored by Dillard's and JCPenney and it is the only indoor shopping mall within Greensboro's city limits; however, nearby Friendly Center, an outdoor shopping plaza, has many of the same tenants. It is managed by Brookfield Properties. The shopping mall is located at the I-40 interchange with Gate City Boulevard, southwest of downtown.
University Mall, previously University Square Mall, is a shopping mall located near the University of South Florida, just north of the city limits of Tampa on Fowler Avenue. The property is located just east of I-275. The Mall has decreased in popularity over the years as online shopping and gentrification of the surrounding area has started to take effect.

Springdale Mall is a shopping center located in Mobile, Alabama, United States, directly across from The Shoppes at Bel Air. Opened in 1959 as an open-air shopping center, Springdale Mall was later redeveloped as an enclosed shopping center. Facing competition from larger shopping centers in the area, Springdale was demolished in stages in the 2000s, with most of the former enclosed mall being replaced with big-box stores.

The anchor stores are Dillard's, Dick's House of Sport, 2 Belk stores, JCPenney, and Cinebarre.
Knoxville Center Mall, originally known as East Towne Mall, was a shopping mall located in North Knoxville, Tennessee. It was in operation from 1984 to January 2020 and was demolished in 2021.
Orlando Fashion Square is a split one-story, two-story indoor shopping mall located in Orlando, Florida. Opened in 1973, it features 79 stores in over one million square feet of shop space. The mall's anchor stores are Macy's, Floor & Decor, and Dillard's Clearance Center. Predating the mall's opening was a Sears department store opened in 1963; this store closed in 2016 and has been razed for redevelopment. JCPenney, another anchor store closed in 2020. Other major tenants include Premiere Cinemas and Planet Fitness. The mall is managed by UP Development, Inc.

The original complex included two supermarkets and two variety stores, plus a Belk department store. It underwent multiple expansions in its history, the first of which added a Jordan Marsh department store and an enclosed mall concourse. Further expansion in 1973 added a second enclosed wing and a relocation of Belk, while Ivey's was added in 1983 and sold to Dillard's in 1990.
