The Walt Disney World Resort is an entertainment resort complex located about 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Orlando, Florida, United States. Opened on October 1, 1971, the resort is operated by Disney Experiences, a division of The Walt Disney Company. The property covers nearly 25,000 acres, of which half has been developed. Walt Disney World contains numerous recreational facilities designed to attract visitors for an extended stay, including four theme parks, two water parks, four golf courses, conference centers, a competitive sports complex and a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. Additionally, there are 19 Disney-owned resort hotels and one camping resort on the property, and many other non-Disney-operated resorts on and near the property.

Popular with adult visitors, it also has a children's section. Within the golf course is the Marriott Village. The Disney International Programs is an international internship program operated by the Disney Programs division of The Walt Disney Company at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, in the United States. These programs recruit participants and college students from outside the United States and its territories for year-long cultural exchanges with paid positions and summer-long paid internships, working at the Walt Disney World Resort. Shades of Green is a resort owned by the United States Department of Defense (DOD) in Bay Lake, Florida on the Walt Disney World Resort property near Orlando. While the resort is on the Walt Disney World Resort, it is annexed as a military resort. It is one of five Armed Forces Recreation Centers (AFRC) resorts and is part of the military's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program. The resort was expanded between 2004 and 2006 and funds itself from non-appropriated funds, with all profits being reinvested into it.
The Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf complex is a miniature golf course at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida, United States. Located across from the Swan and Dolphin resorts, it has two 18-hole courses themed after the movie Fantasia and opened on May 20, 1996. Together with Walt Disney World's other miniature golf venue, Winter Summerland, around 450,000 rounds of golf are played each year. Golf Magazine ranked Fantasia Gardens as the best miniature golf course in Florida in 2024.
