The album received moderately good reviews, receiving praise or the stylistic range of the music, with Allmusic's Phil Freeman noting that "The band's music surges and ebbs like a massive tide, with the guitar lines moving in a linear and horizontal", [4] and being called "a dynamic, shape-shifting beast that takes the form of a swaying ghost-like figure one minute before swelling into some sort of stone-crushing giant the next" [3] by Ryan Ogle of About.com. Both reviewers also noted similarities between the album and Neurosis's Through Silver in Blood . [3] [4] Both reviewers also agreed that the album was within the style that Minsk was known for, with Ogle claiming that "the end result is unmistakably Minsk", [3] though they disagreed about how much experimentation occurred within that sound. Freeman stated that "while this album doesn't move Minsk's music forward in any significant way–they do what they do–it's a superb example of a band achieving total stylistic maturity", [4] while Ogle stated that the band was "chart[ing] the previously unexplored territory that is With Echoes In The Movement Of Stone". [3]
Shadow Zone is the third studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released on October 7, 2003. Marked by many personnel and stylistic changes, the album sports a much more melodic sound than any other work in their catalog, while still staying in the confines of their industrial metal and nu metal sound. Bassist Adam Duce, lead guitarists Logan Mader, Ahrue Luster and Phil Demmel, and drummers Tony Costanza, Chris Kontos and Dave McClain are former members of the band; Mader and Kontos toured with the band in 2019 and 2020 as part of the 25th anniversary tour for its first album, Burn My Eyes (1994).

Minsk is an extreme metal band from Peoria, Illinois founded in 2002. Self-described as "psychedelic metal", their songs tend to start out as slow and simple, and become heavy and complex towards the end. Their sound draws from doom metal, hardcore punk, ambient and noise music, with a highly psychedelic attitude achieved through tribal drum patterns, thick layers of synthesizers and keyboards, and echoing vocals. They are named after the capital of Belarus. The idea of survival through suffering is a recurring theme in the lyrics and musical style. In fact, regarding the origin of their name, their official biography states: "Drawing its nominal inspiration from a remote Belarusian city nestled deep amidst the in-betweens of the East and the West, a city that has been burned to the ground on several occasions only to be rebuilt like a Phoenix rising from its ashes." The sounds and atmospheres they evoke in their songs are complex and psychedelic.

High Country is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band the Sword. Recorded at studios in Austin, Texas and Asheville, North Carolina with producer Adrian Quesada, it was released on August 21, 2015 by Razor & Tie. The album was mixed by J. Robbins, who had previously produced The Sword's 2012 fourth studio album Apocryphon. "High Country" was released as a single on July 20, 2015.
SZNZ: Winter is the tenth EP by American rock band Weezer, and the last of four EPs in their SZNZ project. It was released digitally on December 21, 2022, coinciding with the December solstice. It spawned a single, "I Want a Dog", released on December 9, 2022.
