DevilDriver is an American heavy metal band from Santa Barbara, California, formed in 2002, consisting of vocalist Dez Fafara, lead guitarist Mike Spreitzer, bassist Jon Miller, rhythm guitarist Alex Lee and drummer Davier Pérez. The band was originally named Deathride, however, due to copyright issues and the name being taken by several bands, the band changed its name to DevilDriver.
Azure Ray is an American dream pop duo, consisting of musicians Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor. Formed in Athens, Georgia, in 2001, they later moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and became part of the Saddle Creek Records music scene, which also included Bright Eyes, The Faint, and Cursive. Azure Ray's music has often been featured in film and television, including Six Feet Under, Grey's Anatomy, and The Devil Wears Prada.

Crahan helped form Slipknot in 1995 alongside bassist Paul Gray and drummer Joey Jordison. Crahan is the only remaining original member of the band.
Silverstein is a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. They have released a total of 11 studio albums, seven EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. Their lineup remained unchanged for eleven years from December 2001 to September 2012, then consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In September 2012, the band had announced that Neil Boshart had been fired and would be replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who also joined Billy Hamilton on backing vocals. The band achieved moderate success with their second studio album, Discovering the Waterfront, which was nominated for a Juno Award and reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200 charts, with the following two albums charting at similar positions. Silverstein has sold over 1,000,000 albums worldwide.

At one time known as a Christian metalcore band, it consists of members Mike Hranica, Jeremy DePoyster, Kyle Sipress, Mason Nagy (bass), Jonathan Gering, and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums). The band had maintained its original line-up until keyboardist James Baney left the band. Whitechapel is an American deathcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee. The band is named after the Whitechapel district in East London, England, where Jack the Ripper committed a series of murders. The group comprises vocalist Phil Bozeman, lead guitarist Ben Savage, rhythm guitarist Alex Wade, bassist Gabe Crisp and third guitarist Zach Householder. Founded in 2006 by Bozeman and Savage, the band has released eight studio albums and fourteen music videos, and are currently signed to Metal Blade Records. Whitechapel's 2010 album A New Era of Corruption, sold around 10,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release and debuted at position No. 43 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band's self-titled fourth album was released in 2012 and debuted at No. 47 on the Billboard 200, selling roughly 9,200 copies in its first week. In 2014 the band released their fifth full-length album, Our Endless War to generally positive reviews. The album sold roughly 16,000 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. They released their sixth full-length album Mark of the Blade in 2016 to greater critical acclaim, selling roughly 8,000 copies in the first week of its release. Homesick is the third studio album by American rock band A Day to Remember, produced by Chad Gilbert and the band, and released on February 3, 2009. It was the band's second album for Victory. The album features material written while the band had been touring, which Andrew Wade helped them demo. Recording took place between October and November 2008 at The Wade Studio, located in Ocala. Featured on the album are guest vocalists Mike Hranica, Vincent Bennett and Sierra Kusterbeck (VersaEmerge). Several of the album's songs appeared on the band's MySpace profile before the release of the album.

Dead Throne is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. It was released on September 13, 2011, through Ferret Music. Produced by Adam Dutkiewicz, the record was recorded in several studios across the United States from November 2010 – April 2011. The album is a follow-up to The Devil Wears Prada's 2009 album, With Roots Above and Branches Below. Much like their previous efforts the album's lyrics were penned by lead vocalist Mike Hranica, whose lyrical direction focused on anti-idolatry concepts. The band's musical style changed after the success of the Zombie EP, this led to, what Hranica described as; fusing the melodic elements of their previous studio albums with the ferocity of Zombie.
Dead & Alive is the first live album by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. It was released on June 26, 2012, through Ferret Music. The album was recorded in Worcester, Massachusetts on the Dead Throne US Tour. This is the last album to feature keyboard player James Baney, before he left the band on February 22, 2012. The album contains a DVD with the live show and also a CD album, which contains songs from their previous albums including the latest album, Dead Throne. To promote the album, the band released a video for "Vengeance" that was recorded live from the tour.

It is the group's first release without guitarist Chris Rubey. It is also the band's second conceptual release, after the release of their concept EP Zombie EP, in which they embarked on a five-year anniversary tour earlier in 2015. This is the last release by The Devil Wears Prada to feature original drummer Daniel Williams after he departed with the band in July 2016.

The album was produced by the band's keyboardist Jonathan Gering. It is the band's final album with founding bassist Andy Trick before his departure in September 2020.
